Bleh. As (sort of) a fan, I'm not a fan. I much prefer dark arenas in basketball and hockey, so that all the attention is on the field of play. You don't leave the house lights on at movies, plays, the opera, what have you, so I see no reason to do so at sporting events, unless you're doing a whiteout or something. The Blackhawks keep the United Center house lights dim to off, but have the ribbon boards and those dopey "Madhouse on Madison" signs on, which looks a little eerie.

So then it's not just that picture.

That San Jose arena feels oppressively bright.

Then why don't you put them in the same division and have their game be the last one before the championship game?

Still not understanding how a championship game precludes a Michigan-Ohio State game in the last week.

I don't understand why it can't be the last game of the regular season with a championship game following it. Good God, the world can't revolve around Michigan-Ohio State.

Maybe he perceives Obama as having affected his White Sox fandom as an effort to ingratiate himself to a community that isn't particularly welcoming of political outsiders. He wasn't a churchgoing Christian till he had to persuade South Siders to vote for him, either.

They're not going to stop calling it the Big Ten. The brand's too valuable. These discussions rarely interest me, but it's fun to laugh at the idea of schools not having the ~ACADEMIC INTEGRITY~ to join their cash-grabbing sports racket. [insert Big Ten School Here] can have all the distinctions in the world, but I bet you a chocolate milkshake there's always gonna be some cornerback sitting in remedial English who doesn't know he's holding his textbook upside down, and nobody cares one iota because the university brought Mr. Pineapple Upside-Down Book in to exploit him for millions of dollars.

What's the name of this little number? This and Architectura (or fonts like Architectura) seemed to be real hallmarks of '90s design. Sorry if this has already been answered; I've never patronized this thread before and it's 51 pages long.
