Does Denver not have their orange uniforms yet? So strange to not wear orange at home in the preseason and now again for the home opener.

Thank you Detroit:

Some NHL rule for the red line must have changed. So many teams going hollow red line:

Total swing and a miss for the Ducks. This orange is way too loud and mismatched.
They went from super drab to way too bright. Huge over correction.
The number font is ugly and overly complicated.
All orange equipment is unnecessary and black pants would look so much better.
Just such a poorly designed uniform for them.- 5

A pants stripe that doesn't match the helmet or the jersey?
They'd probably put the jersey stripes on the pants if anything, no?

I get that, but prefer a simpler pattern for that area.
Having said that, I still would gladly take this over the stripe-less blue pants:

This is all Detroit needs to do... if they really want to wear blue pants at home:
No stripe:

It's really so they can wear the blue pants with the black jerseys.
The created an entire set of black details for a new blue helmet and it would be hard to a pair of blue pants with black stripes and a separate one with silver.
Obviously all this goes away if you just don't wear the black jerseys with the blue pants.
it’s a simple solution. Add black stripes to the blue pants and just wear them with the black jersey.
wear the silver pants, with blue and white stripes, with the home blue and away white.

The jerseys were the only thing that looked better. I like the sleeve striping, but it's way too busy for a helmet.
I definitely agree with that. I get the idea but there’s no need to carry the striping pattern to every element. They could simplify it on the helmet and pants.- 3

It's definitely the stripeless pants. At least the previous set's blue pants had stripes that matched the sleeve stripes.
Yup. No clue why they ditched the stripes on the blue pants.
still wish they would just wear blue over silver at home though.

Somehow Detroit looks worse this year. Oh… maybe it’s the mono blue with no pants stripe. So stupid.

Cincinnati looked absolutely terrible in all orange.

Detroit. Why…. You bring back a classic look and then go mono blue.

I understand that the rest of the world isn't as into uniforms as we are, but how does this go unnoticed/unfixed?
yeah very weird. He was the only rookie rocking a white lid. Stuck out like a sore thumb in all the group pics. -
I’m sure it’s just a rookie mishap but an official photo shoot with a white helmet…

Is this a new league wide design? Seems every new center ice design has the logo going through the red line.

The ducks need to switch up the socks to not be orange on top if they are gonna wear orange pants.
As it is now the orange pants and socks bleed into each other and makes for an odd look.

Utah looks like a classic hockey uniform. Solid.
all the people claiming it’s boring…. But this is so much better than sublimated mountains and other gaudy design elements.

Chiefs vs Lions in the KC sun is absolutely beautiful to watch. The Lions need pant stripes, yes, but the bright colors play together very well here between the two teams.
Also, kudos to Detroit for going with white socks instead of blue.
Detroit won in this combo so maybe they will keep with it. -
As predicted, the Broncos looked stupid and nothing like Denver should.

and according to their social graphics the pants/jersey are the wrong shade and the helmet is correct:

Different industries with no cause for confusion. I don't think they'd have a case.
I wonder if the cooler company being an NHL business partner causes some concern though.
There are YETI ads on nhl boards so it would be kinda weird to have a team with the same name.

The logo definitely feels much more balanced with the sector.
But there is no need for the random white stroke. Nowhere else in the logo is there a double stroke like that. It would look much cleaner with a single black stroke like everywhere else in the logo:

The Thrashers blue sweater with the asymmetrical word mark sleeve is an all time classic.
would love for that to come back. The original not the Reebok trash version of course.
