  1. "We are snowflakes", "Sacrebleu" if it isn't a joke I'm gonna laugh so hard. Club de foot is quite an unfortunate name considering the clubfoot disease and the fact that even in France name like that isn't in use (Henry should know that). "Foot" alone yes, "Club de Foot" no.

"Impact black" as a nod to old name is nice.

Logo is great (Would be nice if Montreal host Olympics) but I don't see any sense with repeated club name. It look like they need to fil blank space and have no idea how to do that. I also don't know but I see an inspiration with new Iceland logo in that snowflake.

I think the original SF Warriors jersey had a wordmark with the same outline+dropshadow treatment of the numbers instead of the outline used on the throwbacks.

Good catch, both adidas (from 09/10) and nike SFW jerseys have only an outline.

  3. I tried to check every nike classic uniforms (except Pacers because they weren't a real throwbacks) for mistakes and here are results

    17/18:

Bucks - Wrong wordmark and #5 + unneeded logo on waistband. Also real jersey didn't had NOB but this is passable (same SFW from 19/20).

Suns - Wrong numbers (I found they used three different versions of numbers font but non of them are Celtics font like Nike used) and NOB + unneeded logo on waistband

Hawks - Wrong NOB + unneeded logo on waistband

Hornets - Wrong NOB + too thick stripes (same thing in 18/19 and 19/20)

Warriors - unneeded logo on waistband

Heat - unneeded logo on waistband

Lakers - Wrong numbers + unneeded logo on waistband

    18/19:

Magic - unneeded logo on waistband

Timberwolves - seems to be ok

Hawks - wrong #2 + unneeded logo on waistband

Jazz - seems to be ok

Both Warriors - seems to be ok

    19/20:

Cavaliers - seems to be ok

Jazz - seems to be ok

Raptors - seems to be ok

Grizzlies - seems to be ok except different #2 on front and back

76ers - unneeded logo on waistband, btw they had #5 that Bucks should had.

Warriors "The City" - seems to be ok (same with 20/21)

SF Warriors - it look like they should had same numbers font as "The City"

Clippers - wrong stripes pattern, wrong #5

Trail Blazers - seems to be ok

Kings - seems to be ok

Rockets - wrong NOB and #1(they used numbers from "The Twin Towers" days)

    20/21:

Lakers - seems to be ok

Nets - wrong numbers + wrong stripes pattern (white stripes should be thinner)

    Mavericks - wrong wordmark

Grizzlies - seems to be ok

Of course I didn't count changes resulting from nike cut or from produce techniques (I mean in Orlando jersey only stars should be stitched and rest of wordmark should be sublimated).

Nope, the rights to the Sonics history stay in Seattle forever. The OKC ownership group owed the city an extra $30 million (on top of the $45 million up front) for breaking the lease since Seattle didn't get an NBA team within 5 years.

Ok, @Ridleylash was right. I found an article from 2008: https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/nba/seattle-to-retain-supersonics-banners-and-trophies/

Thunder owns name and logos of Sonics (and allowed to use their history) but when a new team arrive to Seattle they gonna transfer them without any cost.

Yeah, there won't be a fight for it.

It was hyperbole. We all know that Thunder never wanted to be recognized as a Sonics so new Sonics would finally make them an expansion team they always want to be.

IIRC, the agreement from the city's lawsuit is that all stuff related to the Sonics (name, colors, etc.) reverts back to any new Seattle team, and the history is shared between OKC and any new Seattle team. Essentially, a Browns-type situation.

IIRC it was only for 5 years after relocation, after that all rights belong to OKC so Seattle would need to fight for it.

Superstars will want to play in Las Vegas.

Yup, James Harden can''t wait for LV team and being part of it.

IMO Seattle with SuperSonics is no bainer (although all rights to Sonics are in Thunder hands but I guess it shouldn't be a big problem).

For second team, it would be nice to have Louisville in game and they could bring back Kentucky Colonels.

But, as great as the Nets' throwback jersey is, they effed up BIG TIME with those numbers! Not only was the #7 and #1 off as noted previously, but the #2 is blocked and not slanted like the originals. I can look past the small differences in the #1 and #7, but if you mess up the #2s in throwbacks ... no, just no. You lose me.

I saw that game and I was like "what?!", all photos from leaks, unveiling etc suggets that they simply use Bulls numbers but they not. Nike really got problems with retro jerseys because is not a first time when they mess things up. Thanks god they didn't f.....d up Mavs numbers like adidas.

Teal the color, not the ill-fated user. The Eagles’ midnight green looks almost teal at this point because of Nikefication.

    It was a joke...

I loved it when we all wore Heat uniforms in the early '90s, when fashion obviously peaked. Fire, or whatnot.

Now I know from what Nike took inspiration to create PSG fourth shirt:

Corporate team names are pretty tacky.  Would never happen in Japan or Korea, but would be nice to see there

Japanese teams in J-League actually got pretty neutral names and most of them are founded as a work clubs by corporates like Mitsubishi (Urawa Red Diamonds) or Mazda (Sanfrecce Hiroshima). Same with Korean teams so I'm ok with that. Names after sponsorship or taking ownership in later phase of club existence that's a different case.

White (or yellow) vs color > color vs color every time.  Looks way more professional.

Technically yellow vs color is color vs color. I actually like color v color if only provide enough contrast.

  12. You can hate me now but Celtics City look awesome in action (yes I love their last season City too).

@MkDon, yes although it is a league space not teams. Anyway if they really needs to add ads on floor the digital ones are safier for players because they don't exist phisically.

  13. 5 hours ago, M4One said:

According to an article by Elliott Friedman on Sportsnet, teams have an option for a third ad on practice helmets. Teams have already had ads on practice jersey for years.

And these are fully acceptable ads because we talkin' about practice not a game and we rarely see those uniforms so imo they can put as many ads as they want on them.

So with the league getting ad-heavy, what happens to games like 2K?  I know you all might not care too much, but when when they first started jersey patches, they were also put in the game.  But now with court ads too, will they be in or just left blank?  Regardless, it looks gross.

2k (or Live) uses national tv courts which are (were?) without ads.

It is kind of funny that of all their options that they ended up SO FAR away.

I was surprised by this too, especially that they play in Atlantic Division where all teams are on northside so Louisville (that was my type) or Newark were theoreticaly a more rational options.

This has to be a first.  Raptors have hung their championship banner in Tampa.

It's nice that Raptors bring something from their home to a temporary arena. Btw when season would be closer to the end they should change their slogan to "We the south". It would be a nice way to say 'thank you' to Tampa.

So will OKC reference their fauxback too or just lean into pissing off everyone in seattle?

I don't think they want to mess with Seattle. Thunder themselves prefer to be not recognize as Sonics and being treat like an expansion team, this is why there are no Sonics banners in arena or Champioship tab on collar so I guess their Mashup will be made only from OKC jerseys.
