Has this site been slow for anybody else lately? Sometimes it's slow loading page to page and I'm getting some "bad gateway" errors.
Yeah, I've had that same issue somewhat frequently lately too.

Yeah these ads are getting pretty intrusive. The top and bottom banners are bad enough but now I’ve got a Toyota Tacoma ad that pops up about every 5 seconds and expands to take up the entire perimeter of the page... Doesn’t matter where I am in the forum. I’m using Chrome for iPhone if that helps at all.

It irks me that the Motorola patch bleeds over the edge of the stripe. That's where my eyes are always drawn to with that jersey #SuccessfulMarketing

I saw a new ad that will basically be in the same spot and just expand as you scroll down. Ever since It will no longer bring me to the last post of a thread but instead just to the top of the last page. It’s pretty frustrating now.
Same thing happening to me.

Just curious, but what determines when a topic is marked as "hot"? I'm assuming it's a certain amount of posts within a given timeframe but just wondering what that is.

I think it’s the new iPhone update. Mine started doing that ever since I updated my phone. You now got to press things harder for them to work on here to make them work. Otherwise they just highlight as you show on there. I don’t have the problem with other websites though.
Thanks. Timing-wise, the iPhone update would make sense. I’m in the same boat where this is the only site it happens to me on. I have the iPhone XR which doesn’t have the 3D Touch feature... wonder if they had anything to do with it.

Anyone else having an issue on mobile (I use Chrome for iPhone) where you have to click everything twice for it to actually bring you to the desired page? Example below: I click on “Sports Logo News”, the text turns red letting me know that I did in fact click it but it doesn’t open that page... I then have to tap it again for it to actually go to the new page. It’s been like this for about a week for me.

I agree 100%, though removing the wordmark would also eliminate the stick handle. Without it, I wonder if the hockey stick element is even noticeable.
I didn’t even notice it formed part of a stick as is.

Weird stuff. If you look up "MLB Crossover" on Fanatics you can see the other jerseys availalbe... and some Phillies/Eagles mashup hats.

Apparently this is a thing. Supposedly there are Rodgers-Brewers and Jimmy G-Giants jerseys floating around too.
Yeah, I saw this a while ago on the Fanatics website and wondered who would buy it.

This is based solely on my own experience, but I can sort of answer your question, Curt. Back in the day when I was covering AAA Baseball and College Sports, I ran across former players that ended up coaching, scouting, in the front office, etc., and quite a few of them wore their conference or league championship rings. Best I could gather, most of these people didn't start wearing the rings until after their playing careers were over. I also saw more then a few coaches who wore them too. Most of the former players were guys that were basically career Minor Leaguers that played a season or two in the bigs and managed to score a ring in the process. My point, I suppose, is that wearing a "second place" ring is not all that uncommon.
You know, when you put it like that it really puts into perspective how big of an accomplishment it really is. Very few people in the world have the talent to even get close to one of these "second place" rings.

Weird.. those style yeti footprints were never used on any Avs game jerseys. They first appeared on the Starter retail authentics (made in El Salvador) the inaugural 1995-96 season only (Starter corrected the error the next season) and then showed up again on all ccm / KOHO replicas (late 90s - 2007).
I know I'm missing something, but what exactly is different about the patches?

LeSean McCoy wore #29 in his rookie year rather than his familiar #25

I was obsessed with those Nike Rewind jerseys in junior high! I never knew they were worn for anything like this. Neat find!

The only problem is that it looks like a Mariners logo
I think he was facetiously suggesting that they keep the old Florida Marlins logo, rather than referencing the left-most concept.

Expanding on the post above about a uniform of the future, I remember reading an issue of The Hockey News a long time ago (probably around 96 or 97) and it had four or five "logos of the future". I can't remember for the life of me what these fictional teams/cities were but I remember being fascinated by it. The only thing I can remember about it now is that one of the logos had pink in it. I've searched for this online many times but haven't come up with anything. Does anyone have any recollection of this?

Funny you mention this one, I tried YEARS ago to let this forum know of this logo but it went unnoticed. This logo was placed somewhere in the Coliseum, it seems to have been used for publicity photos and etc., for example: Pavel Bure was photographed in front of it holding his jersey for the newspapers in 1991, and is easily findable on Google.
This variant of the skate was also used on the team airplane:

Interesting. It seems odd to have that logo used for publicity photos when it's different than the logo on the jersey being held up. I wonder if there was ever any intention to have different home/road logos a la the Leafs, Jets, Flames, etc.
That plane is awesome!

Has anyone seen the old Canucks logo coloured this way before? This is the first I've ever seen of it. Source

Um, no? He pointed out that they are a) knockoffs, and b ) the poor colour/quality of them.
I guess I misinterpreted the use of the word "classics". I read that as him being happy to have received them.

Anyone ever seen anything like this before? It's a black version of the Kings' infamous 90s third jersey.
