    The weird thing is the full “New York Jets” wordmark shown on the team’s website is the font they teased in January, which is more Chiefs-like than 80s Jets. It’s a weird disconnect.

    Jaguars throwback is awesome news. Hopefully the black is reserved for London and we'll start seeing teal throwbacks in primetime in Duval rather than all-black.

    Not sure if anyone saw this. Not sure how they are doing this before the schedule is even out:

    Since the opponents are known, they can generally plan what uniforms to wear against which teams

    On the uni-watch article about the 3 helmet rule it states that Denver has hinted at using 3 helmets.  That was a couple pages back here.  At any rate, they also state it's been confirmed Denver's primary will be white.  Did I miss something?  I've only seen the speculation but not a confirmation.

    I don’t think there has been any confirmation of a white primary helmet yet.

    The NBA's Memphis Grizzlies might pitch a fit about that...

    Not sure an NBA team has much to say about an NHL team.

    We already have the Kings in each league

    I think the black helmet needs one single change: replacing the late-nineties “totally awesome” half-length stripes with traditional Braisher stripes. (And then they should add matching stripes to the black pants so they can never again do the yoga pants look.)

    I’ve seen a purple-flake finish proposed and would be fine with or without that. The helmet should always, ALWAYS be glossy, though, like a raven’s feathers.

    Gold/purple/gold stripes on that black helmet would look pretty cool I think

  6. To add to like 800 other complaints on here…the tiny NOBs just look awful. Just cheap and amateurish.

    This entire template change is just thanks to some idiotic “good idea fairy” at Nike trying to fix something that didn’t need fixing

    Lol these are all rumors from Brady2024 in a uniwatch article from February. None of this has been really confirmed. Lukas acknowledged he doesn't know if any of this is true. Brady2024 claimed the Broncos were going to sign Tom Brady at the start of free agency (even as Brady was advising the Raiders, on his way to part ownership) and he’s changed his description of certain details multiple times. He’s pretty much as credible as @willforgetmylogin if not the same guy.

    2024 Helmet updates-

    New Primary Helmet

    * Browns (likely white facemask)

    * Jets

    * Broncos

    * Lions

    * Texans (image leaked of new uniforms showed a metallic/sparkle blue helmet rather than the flat blue they used to use)

    New Alternate Helmet

    * Jaguars

    * Ravens

    * Vikings

    * Giants

    * Packers

    * Jets

    * Lions

    * Texans

    * Broncos

    Let the guessing games begin!!

    I can confirm this list, though it may not be everything. A couple teams could wear throwbacks on the field that are already in the retail pipeline.

    On one hand: Every team's draft hat has some sort of dropshadow.

    On the other hand: That ice blue is on the side state flag logo as well.

    On, somehow, a third hand: Didn't the team say the colors were remaining the same?

    So who knows.

    Online photos that show the side patch  clearly show the patch as white, navy, orange, and black shadow.

    All teams have the gray and black shadows on the front.

    You all, see pages 70-71

    Just was at local store and they had the Broncos Draft hat with the new logo. The side patch says "Broncos Country" with the state flag. Here it is on a standard hat too to see it without the details in the draft cap.

    These have been available online since Monday.

    That "leaked" info came from a guy who also "leaked" that the Broncos were signing Tom Brady lol. It was completely made up. And honestly it's not hard at all to guess that the Broncos would incorporate some local stuff into new uniforms. Nike always does.

    Well :censored:…as much as I don’t trust a guy like Brady2024 who makes up a lot of bizarre claims, the below doesn't sound too far off the rumors

    Quote

    Leech hints at what the redesign might look like. Here's what Leech had to say about the process of designing the new uniforms: "Part of the process was talking about, what's important for the Broncos? What's important for Broncos fans? Wanting to evolve and be new and different but also be respectful of our history and our traditions," Leech said, via the Denver Post. "Understanding our surroundings from a geographic standpoint, there will be nods to that and I think people be really excited about it."

  12. Draft hat leak (No Jets, Titans, Seahawks, Patriots, Buccaneers, Cowboys, Commanders pics yet. Lions and Broncos shown with current logos). Looks like three retail

    versions - black, dark gray, team color. All hats have two offset drop shadows behind the primary logo.

    Sorry for the TLDR post in advance...but the new Broncos snowcapped/white helmet/5280 rumors are still really flimsy

    Jesse Schultz was the guy who posted on the mothership in January, but his comments on the main pages have been deleted. He’s the self described “graphic designer from Ohio that has access to logo slicks”.

    Not sure which page on here his initial comments were discussed, but I do know he wasn’t 100% on point. This screen grab here is likely just a rehash of Brady2024’s comments from the Uniwatch article.

    Anon 1: Here’s a leak

    Rando 1: Repeat Anon 1 leak after publication

    Anon 1: See it’s confirmed

    (no it’s not)

    Brady2024, who was 100% sure Brady was going to be the Denver QB and a deal was done, now says “the ball is in Tom’s court and the situation is fluid”.

    Brady2024 also claimed Tom was definitely going to to be the Broncos QB because you couldn't order a 12 BRADY Broncos jersey from Fanatics/NFL Shop...supposedly because a deal was signed and new jerseys were going to be sold here in March. In January and February, I did spot testing and the only teams you could get 12 BRADY jerseys for were the Buccaneers and the Patriots, but now in late March, you can't even get that. And you can't customize any other team's jersey with 12 BRADY. And if a deal was in place...you know they'd already be selling jerseys I think.

    L-O-L.

    Brady2024 also claimed that the Broncos will let players choose the jersey during the week...and we all know that's not possible.

    That claim sounds so similar to ”I'm a photographer and Russell Wilson is demanding the team to wear all navy and we just took all the photos of the Broncos in all navy” ….six months later…”oh, well these things change, guys, I’m just a photographer”

    Has to be the same guy.  And maybe Brady2024 is "Jessie Schultz"...

    The Cardinals’ leak felt more real last year because a) I don’t think any rumor was on reddit and 2) Tru saw the helmet and it matched the unpublished rumor

    I’d love for Tennessee to update the Oilers uniforms and introduce a navy blue jersey to the set.

    (Bring back the silver helmets and pants too)

    Silver/navy/silver wouldn’t be all that unique though. Would look most like the Patriots and a bit like the Cowboys

    TV numbers absolutely served a purpose at a time.  arguing against that is silly.  When editors were captioning photos in newspapers or looking for photos to put in a magazine story, sometimes those numbers were the only way to identify the player.

    TV numbers were invaluable to whoever had to identify the KC player in this photo (who's oddly wearing #15 - what is this, 2024?)

    ap_575258161603.jpg

    Whether they're still relevant in 2024 is certainly debatable, and we've heard arguments on both sides.

    As the judge, I've rendered my decision - they should be optional only, and aesthetics should be the driving factor.

    He’s wearing #75 - I think it’s Jerry Mays.

    Getting people accustomed to football jerseys without shoulder numbers just opens up space for jersey ads. I think I read Goodell was against jersey ads, but he's not going to be commissioner forever, and the NFL proves over and over it really is only about money. Remember a few years ago on the board when people here were sure MLB would be the last league to have ads because they were the most traditional and blah blah blah?

    I think it’s now 18 years in a row where someone has said chest logos or lack of numbers means jersey ads are coming.

    If NFL owners wanted jersey ads on game jerseys (not just practice jerseys), they’d vote on it, pass it 31-1 (with Raiders voting against), and add it to the CBA tomorrow.

    I am pro-Dark Navy for the Texans.  I may be in the minority but I strongly dislike their Red helmet & uniforms.  Red, in this case, makes a great accent color to the Dark Navy, but as a primary, Dark Navy doesn't do anything for the Red as an accent.

    I had hoped they'd drop the helmet for the White version, though.   Using a Dark Navy facemask would've made it unique to the league, and it could've been swapped out with a Red facemask for an Oilers-tribute alt.

    I still think the Dark Navy helmet would benefit from a stripe.

    Both of these helmets desperately need stripes.

    Interested to see the two Texans’ alternate helmets, one of which has a much higher MSRP than the other (due to paint and/or decal costs)

    I like that they're at least keeping that logo particularly in San Diego. The way I view it, the logo belongs to the city because of its history there and it would be a little weird to see it used within a rival city.

    Solid theory as to why they made the decision they did.

    Could be suggesting a new Statement jersey; the current purple statement has been around the minimum of two seasons.

    The current Icon/Association set is finishing up year #4 (so not eligible for a change yet if there is a five season rule).
