  1. I think they're visible to all members. You just have to have enough posts to be taken seriously or apply for leagues there.
  2. Fantasy Sports Constitution tl;dr -- 6 months, 500 posts minimum. Wait for openings to be advertised; don't go pestering leagues/commissioners unsolicited. One fantasy team per actual sports league per member.
  3. You have to make an animated .gif out of the video clip and use that. Try something like GIFsoup.
  4. I had the same problem as others early this morning when I logged on, but it was fixed fairly quickly, probably within about 30 minutes.
  5. If we're providing suggestions, I have one: If you're going to market the news site as "news," then you need to clearly delineate between news pieces and opinion pieces. Take, for example, this post. It's filled with personal opinions. If it's labeled as an opinion piece, fine; there's a place for that. But if it's being labeled as "news" and presented on a "news" site, then it should just be the facts presented objectively and let the reader draw his/her own conclusion. It would be misleading to label and present as one when it's actually the other.
  6. City Bold, vertically arched.
  7. If you can't find Home Run as mentioned before, theres a freeware, called Lobster That's perfect! Thanks. I think Lobster was actually the one I was looking for, because the tails on some of the characters are different than Home Run.
  8. Anyone know the font used for the scripts on this fantasy set?
  9. Just a basic varsity block font. Search for a user here named "eriqjaffe"; he has a link in his signature to a bunch of TTFs he created mimicing pro sports jersey fonts, and there are several variations of varsity block fonts in there.
  10. Looks like a beefed up version of City Bold.
  11. "84" looks to be Friz Quadrata also. "Louisiana World Exposition" is Eurostile Extended, probably Medium. "iPad" is Myriad Bold.
  12. Looks like a basic varsity block with circus points added. Try the Angels font from eriqjaffe's collection, or if he has done a new Rangers font.
  13. You should be able to. Make sure you're using the direct link to the image and not the link to the page where you can view the image, which has "?action=view&current=" in the URL.
  14. Looks a lot like Industria, although the K appears to be modified. Which one? The "Jets" wordmark? The one used in the wings secondary logo? The name/number font? Or the one used in all their marketing?
  15. It's a member of the Colino family.
  16. NHL: Calgary Flames - growing up in southern Alberta, they were the closest team. Fandom was galvanized, though, watching them win the ?89 Stanley Cup. MLB: Toronto Blue Jays - because they're Canadian and I have fond memories of watching them win the ?92 and ?93 World Series. There are closer teams, like Seattle, but seeing them win and national pride sewed it up for me. NBA: Toronto Raptors - as close to a hometown team as I have anymore. See that whole national pride thing above. Second team is Dallas, based mainly on liking their uniforms. NFL: Ehhh, don't really have a team. I just root for good games or for history to be made. If you held a gun to my head, I might say the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (due to their late-?90s [?] rebrand) or the Seattle Seahawks (proximity). Premier League: Arsenal - when I started watching soccer in college, there was one game on every Saturday morning. And it seemed like that game always featured Arsenal or Manchester United. I knew enough about English soccer, though, to know I wasn't going to cheer for Man U. And I dug Arsenal's style. CFL: Calgary Stampeders. See Flames above.

  18. Might be Friz Quadrata. Your sample is rather small and rough.
  19. The links you've given are to pages where you can view the image, not the image itself. If you take "?action=view&current=" out of each link, that should give the link to the image itself, which should work fine in your sig.
  20. Just found the sans serif font while searching dafont this morning. It's called Franchise there.
  21. Looks like Verdana/Tahoma to me. Probably a regular weight as opposed to bold. Agency FB.
  22. Illustrator has a free counterpart in Inkscape, Photoshop has a free counterpart (sort of) in GIMP. Is there a free/inexpensive counterpart to InDesign, though, that I can do page layout and design with?
  23. College: City Bold (the last E appears to be modified, though) Gameday: Colino DB
  24. Didn't the Kings use that style of 1 for a couple of seasons before thinking better of it?
