  1. What the hell...it's been almost three years since I posted this, how did these guys find this? I'm gonna talk to them and get this sorted out. CrazyEdit: They totally butchered the logo haha
  2. What does the current one have that is so great? No offense, but the old/current one looks like he's in the middle of being molested. Well, mainly the face. It's a cartoony take on a human. It's a unique mascot. I would hate for them to turn to yet another furby/muppet mascot like every other school. What I like about Pete is the fact that its a guy, and you can tell that. I don't want my mascot to be something completely intangible and inhuman, I'd rather it represent the students, which it does.
  3. Nice to have all of the Purdue fans here... ...I'm a West Side grad myself. (Dad's a Professor Emeritus from the Krannert School of Management.) Haha, no way! I'm a student at Krannert right now. Crazy. Looking at that high res version of the logo, I like it A LOT more. It does a great job of shifting the perspective over. I'm really happy with this. Also, that new Purdue Pete was just awful, from every angle. The face is ridiculous. It loses all the persona that the current one has. It was rightfully scrapped.
  4. Certainly better than the current one. None of the Purdue stuff I've bought has the train on it, I just can't stand that logo. The 'action P' logo is great, though. The athletic teams use it a lot more than the train I think this will do alright, looks more menacing.
  5. I'll give em some credit. Mike Smith played out of his mind this series. Hawks were certainly not up to the challenge, and it is what it is.
  6. Landowners on the site didn't want to sell and the Oakland city leadership didn't want to eminent domain them out. I mean, yeah. I assumed there was some sort of legal barrier. But just damn, look at that park, its awesome. Something about the parks that look like they were squeezed into a random city neighborhood just really excites me. It's a shame there arent more/any being built lately. I feel the opposite. Parks that look designed to squeeze into city blocks, but are really built in open suburbs just come off as contrived messes to me. As for this park, it's just too enclosed. I get what they were trying to do with the hotel / apartments (right?) but they really made it look cramped by jamming all that crap into the OF. Oh, that's exactly why I love it. Build the stadium into the city. Why not have a building be the center field wall? I love the unique aspect it creates. I want my ballpark to feel homey and comfortable while still maintaining the open feeling. Wrigley does a good job of this, and I think more ballparks should try.

  8. Two incredible game-winning goals from Boedker Crawford. C'mon
  9. This site is honestly so cool. Really interesting stuff Also, how is this not a real ballpark? I love it, so much better than the Coliseum of Infinite Foul Territory
  10. Oh that makes sense. Reward the Coyotes with a powerplay. What a :censored:ing joke
  11. Holy ! That is amazing. Can you imagine batting there? I would be in awe of the mountains too much to focus. Truly incredible.
  12. Nah, thats an obvious offensive foul. Griffin went up with an extended arm, caught Gasol's face with his elbow (which is actually a Flagrant 2, and should have been reviewed by rule) and then proceeded to saunter over to taunt. I don't like that at all.

    Sixers and Spurs

These are not bad at all. The sixers look great. The shape at the bottom looks really odd though, if you smoothed it out, made it more organic like the jersey, it would look real nice. The spurs set is interesting, but I do like it. I think they, as a team, ditched the 'fiesta sunrise' look a while ago, but this is nice, and subtle. The colors dont actually look out of place
  14. I thought it was pretty funny. The best part was how Griffin acted like he was shot in the face and knocked unconscious. He got knocked over, give me a break. The hit was obviously unnecessary, but everyones blowing this out of proportion.
  15. WOOOOOOOO!!! Brandon Marshall! Welcome to Chicago! Cutler to Marshall 2.0 is here! So happy, and a steal for two 3rd round picks. I don't want to get greedy, but Mario Williams would look real nice on the other side of the line from Julius Peppers.
