  1. I loved the road jerseys -- the home set -- meh.
  2. Really? He has been one of the best players in the game and top jerseys sellers for the last decade. Yeah, that doesn't help me either ... maybe a link to his Wiki page would help as well?
  3. If they somehow end up in San Antonio, I'd definitely want them to keep the Silver & Black. Call them the Gunslingers if you must, but keep the Silver & Black. Why not the San Antonio Riders? Didn't they have a WAFL team or something called the Riders once? Just drop the "a" ... problem solved.
  4. Yeah, I think the Royals Fauxback would look awesome with Sacramento going down the jersey.
  5. I'm not sure what's more entertaining each new court post or the banter between broken, PepMan33 and ralphierce?
  6. It's been almost thirty years since they last played the Final Four in an arena. The NCAA isn't going to forfeit the expanded ticket revenue. You're not winning this one. Then sit at home on your lazyboy. Nobody's forcing you to go. Some people decide that it's worth it to sit in the nosebleeds where they can barely see what's happening. The last Final Four in an arena was the Kentucky-Syracuse final at the Meadowlands in New Jersey in 1996. In the fall of 2012, there was a lot of talk about moving it back to arenas in the future. It's already scheduled through 2016 or 2017, but one of the higher-ups at ESPN pretty-much guaranteed that it would return to an arena in the not-so-distant future. They're wanting to get New York and LA in the mix to host it, since those cities so desperately need a major event to take place in their cities (sarcasm). I'd be interesting to get places like LA and NYC involved in the rotation. Maybe a Brooklyn-New York City Final Four? Or Newark, Brooklyn, NYC Final Four with semi-finals in Brooklyn and Newark and then the final at MSG? You could even sell tickets in the other arenas to fans wanting to watch them on the jumbo tron there? Just a thought ...
  7. Okay that's awesome and kinda sad that they're putting the Expos script behind home plate. I got chills seeing that. This begs the question, is there even a remote possibility that the Jays wear Expos unis?? I thought the exact same thing. I doubt it, but it'd be awesome if they at least wore a patch.
  8. That is a pretty intricate set of stands to build for a one-off basketball game. Was basketball at the Kingdome common? The Sonics used it regularly (fulltime?) for 7-8 years in the late '70s/early '80s. And it was also host to a couple Final Fours. Here's a couple more pics of the Kingdome basketball setup. I think the Tacomadome kept those bleachers when the Sonics moved out. It used to host the NAIA championship for football and still hosts high school football. The way the bleachers end in the middle bugs me. Such a waste of potential $$$ seats.
  9. Here's a better picture even if the diamond is covered the stadium is in it's baseball configuration.
  10. I haven't seen this posted and while it's small, this is Aloha Stadium in it's baseball configuration ...
  11. This is interesting with the Superdome configuration for baseball
  12. Wow great find. I am probably in the minority but I really like those jerseys along with the ones worn last Christmas. These were worn during the NBA's 50th Anniversary. A number of teams wore throwbacks throughout the season ... Lakers, Celtics, Knicks, Raptors (Huskies), Pistons, etc. The Knicks (at least the Knicks) wore home throwbacks too ...
  13. Los Angeles Clippers vs. Kansas City Kings, 1984
  14. Here's a leak of their new unis ...
  15. It's too logical for the NHL to actually do something like that. But, at the same time Detroit doesn't want to be in the Western Conference. That was one of the hang ups for the realignment in the first place.
  16. The Bird-di-lis looks like he's wearing a knights' helmet. It's the only logo of the set I can't stand.
  17. You sure he played for them? I've never heard this, and the stats don't show up on Basketball Reference. It was preseason. Two games I believe? But, then he was forced back to the ABA.
  18. If I was the Chargers I don't see why you wouldn't jump all over this. They can stay in SD until the Stadium is finished and keep but expand their fanbase. I could also see a NFC team like the Vikes or someone jump as well.
  19. If I was the Chargers I don't see why you wouldn't jump all over this. They can stay in SD until the Stadium is finished and keep but expand their fanbase.
  20. I wonder if migrant workers will show up every morning to the Stadium looking for work? Wrong Farmers Field, Amigo!
