  1. The past week or so if I press the 'previous' button or the button on the top of the screen that takes you back to the previous forum section on mobile, it just goes back to the first page of the thread I'm in.

Same here, I'm using chrome mobile. I've always wanted to be able to go to the first/last page of a thread, just not like this.
Did either of you guys figure out how to fix that? It just started happening to me right now.
  2. Boston Red Sox: First went to Boston in 2009, and fell in love with them. Since then, I've been back to Fenway twice. They're my favorite team in all of sports.

New York Mets: My favorite NL team. 1) I believe in the "your enemy's enemy is your friend", 2) I have family in New York, and 3) their identity is awesome.

Boston Bruins: Always had an interest in them, and became a serious fan during the 2011 Cup run.

Buffalo Sabres: I know it's strange to cheer for two teams in the same division, but they're semi-local team, and I go down to games at least once or twice per year. They're starting to look really exciting now, and if they switch to the retros full-time, I think I'll convert.

New England Patriots: Started watching them in the 04 Super Bowl, and never looked back. Nowadays, with my football interest waning, and them winning enough to have satisfied me as a fan, my fandom is becoming more and more casual.

Boston Celtics: I don't really care about basketball that much, but if I had to pick a team, it would be them.

Mississauga Steelheads: The only local team I support, but they're the most local team. I have season tickets, and I'll watch the OHL over the NHL any day of the week.

New York City FC: TFC has always kinda bugged me, so I could never get behind them. I decided to cheer for NYCFC since I though it would be cool to get in on the ground floor with a team, and again, I have family in New York. I've had a lot of fun watching them this year, though I wish I could've gone down for a game.

Arsenal FC: I used to be a Chelsea fan, but as I started to follow the EPL more closely, I started to take interest in the Gunners. Last year, I only missed three matches between the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, and I haven't missed any so far this year.

AC Milan: My best friend got me into them, and I became a serious fan when they won the Champions League in 2007. I got to see them in 2009 at Gillette Stadium against Inter, and my friend and I planned a trip to New York last summer to see them play, only for that match to get moved back here to Toronto. I'm still pissed off about that.

National Teams: Canada, since I live here, and Italy and Germany due to family heritage.

I like the Washington Nats' current uniforms. I thought the original wordmark the Nats used at home was horrible. Many are critical that the current "W" resembles the Walgreens logo, but I see it as a nice tribute to the Washington Senators 2.0 of my childhood.

I don't mind the curly w at all, but the nationals have such a nice script it is a shame they don't even use it on an alt jersey.

This looks too awesome to be relegated to T-Shirts and Jackets:

That does look good. That's the same script used on their current away jerseys right?

What cap did they wear with those?

It's actually an unused prototype (unfortunately), but I presume they would've worn the home caps with those.
  4. Watch the NHL give an expansion team to the group in a suburb of a city that doesn't even really want hockey over the ready-to-go arena in the hockey hotbed of Quebec City. Just watch it happen.

Are you saying any of us would be surprised?

Is Tukwila way out there or something? I'm pretty optimistic about Seattle as an NHL market, so I'm curious why everyone's discussing it as a bad idea.

Seattle itself would be fine, but having the rink in the suburbs is most often a bad idea (see: Glendale and Sunrise).

  5. I just started using this site on a phone a few months ago. Of course its different from the pc version. There is a check mark in the upper right corner of every post. I always assumed that was the "like" button. I was thinking about it and I hope that is not the report button. If so, I'm sorry for the silly reports. Clearly I meant to like them.

It's the like button. I don't think there's even a way to report posts in phone.
  6. Sometimes I don't know what to make of St. John's. I want them to have a team because what a cool-ass city with the jellybean houses, but the isolation is a pain for team travel and shuttling prospects. I thought the Q would turn out to be a good fit for them, but it actually ended up being much worse. Maybe having Montreal as an affiliate rather than Winnipeg will help, but even this is supposed to be a stopgap until the arena in Laval is ready.

I know full well that the economics of minor-league hockey don't always allow for it, but I wish the AHL were better about committing to locations and not just saying "yeah we're doing this for a year or two until something better comes along." It's been a dick move to Utica, Glens Falls, and St. John's.

Yeah, I feel bad for St. John's as well, and it will be unfortunate when the rink in Laval is finished. There's no doubt that the fans deserve a team, but it's hard when they're so far out. Perhaps when Quebec City eventually gets a team, they'll have a more solid affiliation.
