  1. These are both really unpopular opinions, but whatever:

-I don't mind the Buffaslug logo at all, and I really liked the jerseys. Their current look is far superior, though.

-I like the Hurricanes new set and the only change I'd make would be to put the flag logo back on the shoulders. I'll miss the warning flag striping, but at least it's inside the collar.

  2. I'm almost equally shocked they have not reproduced them period, they could easily sell a couple hundred (legit RBK/CCM ones).

Since the demand is there I am surprised we have not seen Burger King and Wild Wing fakes yet.

I think they'd be kind of hard due to neither of them being "normal" jersey templates. Wildwing with the full jersey logo and the Burger King with the weird full jersey stripes and upper chest logo.

Also most people who are looking for counterfeit jerseys don't know why those jerseys are so big, so the counterfeit market is more for current jerseys.

I don't have a Wild Wing (don't I wish that I do), but the front logo is screened, right? That can't be a real patch.

I'd understand if they don't want to make replicas--the jerseys kinda look embarassing. But that's what makes them valuable in the first place.

I believe the jersey is sublimated.

  3. Honestly, the best option right now is to just fold the team. Play with 29 teams next year and grant either Seattle or Quebec City an expansion franchise for 2014-15. I know the NHL would never stand for this, but there's no other solution to this fiasco.

then they'd have to re-realign because the West would have 3 less teams than the east. Or just put off the realignment all together.

It would only be for one year.

  4. i've also downloaded a few albums in my life, and downloaded a movie that i just as well could have rented...

I've thought about this a couple times before. Does it make someone a hypocrite to download music while chastising someone for buying a knockoff jerseys?

    Short answer: No!

Long answer: Musician, both on major and independent levels, make the vast majority of the money from things other than music sales. They get so little money from stuff sold in stores or online. Merchandise sales, record sales at shows, and shows themselves bring in far more money. Hell, I know of several musicians/bands that tell their fans to download and if they want to help out the band, buy merch/tickets.

Do designers have the ability to go on tour and sell merch/tickets to make money? No.

I have a question. Do designers make royalties for the number of jerseys sold? And I so does it vary from company to company?

The teams make royalties, not the designers.

  5. I owned a sporting apparel store for 6 years in the 90's. I remember when the replica's were 39.99 and 49.99. IMHO Replica's should never have gone up from that, they don't cost anymore to make then when Logo Athletic made them. I DESPISE the bootleg crap though.

I don't understand what's caused the cost of the replicas to go up so dramatically. It's not like the quality of them has gone up, they've gone way down. It's absolutely ridiculous.
