  1. It's too bad that's an unpopular opinion, but it'll never be changed. Money talks.
  2. Ditto... if were talking about the Winter Classic ones that is. The shade of brown on that is dark enough to work. Yes, I meant the Winter Classic uniforms.
  3. Oh, I have no problem with teams using brown. When it's used right, it looks good and teams should use it more. The only problem is that options are so limited. I would love it if the Bruins wore their yellow/brown uniforms again and I know there are a lot of Padres fans who wish they'd bring back the brown/yellow uniforms.
  4. Funny that you should mention brown since Uni Watch did a post about that yesterday. It seems that the issue that people have with brown as a sports color is that there are so few colors it goes well with. You're pretty much restricted to pairing it with variations of yellow and orange. Anything else just clashes with it too much.
  5. Agreed so much. I cringe every time I read a UniWatch article and Lukas starts squealing like a little girl about some randomass minor league team wearing stirrups.
  6. I'm just biased towards rounded collars because the Bulls wear them, but even without them, I'd still think they look better. The collar piping just doesn't look right.
  7. I hate the style of collar that the Lakers (and the other teams that have it) have on their uniforms. Every team should have a normal round collar.
  8. yes league decisions are subject to the whims and ego of Gary Bettman and not the best interests of the team owners who want to make as much money as possible "no doubt" hahahaha you idiots won't be happy until every Canadian city with more than 30,000 people has an NHL team Excuse me? I'm an American. Do you not notice the avatar and signature indicating that I'm a Blackhawks fan? I don't want every single team to move north of the border. That's just ridiculous. What I want is for the Coyotes to be moved to a place where they will be successful and will actually have real fans who will show up to their arena for most of the season, not just the playoffs when the team makes a rare playoff run. If that means moving them to Quebec City and making them the Nordiques part deux, then so be it. If it means moving them to Seattle, so be it. This playoff run isn't going to change a long trend of the Coyotes never turning a profit in their entire existence. Phoenix is not a hockey town. The longer the Coyotes stay in Phoenix, the longer the league has to help pay to keep them afloat and the longer the city of Glendale has to pay exorbitant amounts of money to keep them afloat. I don't live in Glendale. That doesn't personally affect me. However, when a city continues to pay that much money to keep a failing sports team going at the expense of things the city actually needs, like vital services, I have a problem with that. I also have a problem with my team continuing to pay for a team that should not exist anymore because it is a miserable failure. So no, I don't want to give every city with 30,000 or more people in Canada a hockey team. I just want this farce of an organization to cease to exist and be reborn in a place where it will stop being a drain on the rest of the league and on the city where it plays. Is that too much to ask?
  9. The Lakers need to wear the white uniforms full-time at home. They have one of the best-looking white uniforms in the league.
  10. There's no doubt that this is an ego trip by Bettman. He's already got egg on his face from the Thrashers moving, so he'll do anything he can to keep that illegitimate franchise down south so he doesn't get hit again. What a joke.
  11. Anyone know if I can write a check to the Goldwater Institute?
  12. But but but but but attendance will get better next year! Jamison is going to magically fill the arena! They're going to turn a profit next year, I promise!
  13. If the Coyotes are a sleeping giant franchise-wise, then they've been asleep for 16 years. I'm pretty sure that qualifies as comatose.
  14. Why does he want to buy the team? Why would anyone want to buy a team that won't fill its arena until playoff time when the bandwagon fans and visiting fans show up? I just don't get it. Buying the team isn't going to change the fact that it's a financial black hole. Just give up, let the team go to Quebec and let it be.
  15. They wouldn't be the first team to ditch a look that has won championships and they won't be the last. Not everyone can be the Yankees.
  16. Yep, the Oilers' first Edge look didn't have full stripes.
  17. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/coyotes/articles/2012/02/16/20120216phoenix-coyotes-ownership-third-party-bickley.html The Coyotes could have a new owner within a week.
  18. Close enough. Thanks for the help!
  19. I see the Negro Leagues as a symbol of triumph (though I don't dismiss your argument of them being a symbol of divisiveness as well) before the integration of the major leagues. To me, they were the black players saying "Screw you, we're going to play whether you want us to or not."
  20. FWIW, I don't hate anything about the Canucks' jerseys either. I think they've got one of the best sets in the league. I just hate the guys who wear them.
  21. Yes, because a Canucks fan can be trusted to be objective about the Blackhawks. Say something about how awful the Canucks jerseys are... I already took it back. Sorry.
  22. Well, I retract my statement then. Sorry.
