My guess is, as far as the four division issue is concerned, they have white and black ones for each conference, and will switch out when necessary?

That's what they've done for every four-division ASG with only two jerseys. That's actually happened more than the one jersey per division format, which they've only done twice.

Healthcare providers are to American soccer teams what offshore betting sites are to English ones, apparently.

And the for-profit healthcare industry is only slightly less detestable than offshore gambling.

I finally have a satisfactory font substitute for Colorado. This is probably as close as I'm going to get to the real thing without stealing the NHL's intellectual property. The font isn't an exact match but it's pretty damn close. Also, yes, I know, the nameplate is too small - it's the best I can do to make it look halfway decent with my current resources.

  4. Seattle Kraken - Crossover

    I3OMaGz.png

Alright, so with Nike having the exclusive contracts for the NFL, NBA and MLB, there are a lot of teams that, in the universe of this concept series, share both a city and uniform manufacturer with an NHL team. Thus, in said universe, Nike decides to launch the Crossover Series, which gives the NHL teams looks that pay tribute to their fellow teams. Obviously not every team will have a Crossover jersey, just like how not every team will have a Heritage jersey. I may also include MLS even though they're not a Nike league because that will give me additional opportunities, especially since there are at least a couple of NHL teams that only share a city with MLS teams. Also, because this is specifically celebrating the other teams in the cities, it will be home jerseys only, unlike the primaries, alternates and Heritage.

Seattle's gives them the Seahawks' colors and they look very good in the blue and gray.

  5. Calgary Flames

    CfBjy2f.png

So after thinking it over for a few days, I had some thoughts about Calgary's font. Because this look is derivative of their early 2000s look, I really wanted to use the proper font for it, but I've always thought that the non-italicized version from the first Adidas jerseys looked better. However, I've really decided that these just look better with a block font. Also, of all of the fonts that I'm missing for this project, Calgary's is the least likely for me to find a facsimile of. So therefore, I've gone with the same block font they have on their Heritage jerseys.

Everybody laughed when they brought on some hypebeast designer to help with their brand.

I'm still laughing because anyone who is described as a "hypebeast" should never be allowed near a major professional sports team's uniforms or logo.

I wish each division had their own jersey like when it was in LA and Tampa.  You can have two in the Vice colours and two in team colours this year.  The all-star jersey should always be in team colours of the host city, even if it's the same generic template every year.

  8. Anaheim Ducks - Heritage

    x1AN4Hw.png

Since the project takes the Ducks back to their original look and they've already rehashed the Wild Wing for their Reverse Retros, this was a natural choice since the Ducks were the first team to wear more than one alternate in a season - AFAIK the Islanders didn't technically treat the Wave jerseys as alternates the previous season.

I cant believe we are having this discussion. The slug is a horrible logo. Universally panned when it debuted. Before today I dont think I had ever heard the screaming eagle logo taken down. Fans clearly like it.

I had to learn this lesson the hard way years ago because I was an immature :censored:head but not everyone likes the same logos.

If the Buffaslug came back to the ice, everyone would complain.

I wouldn't if it was on a good jersey and only as an alternate. I'm not a Buffalo fan but I've always felt that the Buffaslug's biggest weakness was that it was an OK logo on an awful jersey. The same could be said for the Fisherman and the Burger King.

  11. I've now updated every single team's primaries that were already posted, except for Florida because they have their patches where the numbers are, so it's a little bit of a different process.

As for teams that haven't had their primaries posted:

    • Arizona Coyotes: working on finding their shoulder patch in an SVG.
    • Calgary Flames: working on finding their name/number font.
    • Colorado Avalanche: working on finding their name/number font.
    • San Jose Sharks: working on finding their shoulder patches in SVGs and name/number font.
    • Vegas Golden Knights: working on finding their name/number font.

The Manchester United you reference was purely made up, because they liked the name.

Well, you could argue that it was born from the union of the four businessmen who invested in the club and saved it from dissolution.

You were right, this is much better. It feels like the orange and blue was the original and the black/red/yellow was a recolor of it, instead of the other way around. Also makes it so the hawks, wild, and the game doesn't feature yellow. That way theres not an over use of yellow.

Even though the franchises don't share a common ownership, I'm sure that the Blackhawks would have GSH on one of the sleeves as a tribute.

  14. Thank God the committee did the right thing and left Bama out. We all know that if they thought they could get away with it, they would just give all four spots to the top four SEC teams but we're safe from that horror for another year.
