Mariners wore the aquas on the road in Chicago yesterday, which they (as far as I know) only do when the home team is already wearing blue, navy, or black and they don’t have a choice. The Sox were wearing white for this game though. I can’t recall Seattle doing this any other time this season, but I love it. So tired of them wearing navy all the time.

You could also say the plain pants are a reference, although I think the team originally planned to use mono way more often. I feel like they would’ve added a stripe if they realized they would like this combo the best.

This would look too much like the Steelers, who they hate. I think Humphrey is just trying to stir the pot and generate conversation in the comments. He wasn't even on the team the one game they wore them.

The Broncos are now experimenting with solid white socks? These teams just can’t control themselves. Meanwhile, the Colts and Bills both go blue socks with their white jerseys and pants? Preseason is always full of whacky, misleading $hit like this. Most classic example is the Saints pretending to be a gold pants team year after year.

Still better than three, although last year one of the three was at Dallas, who is probably wearing navy throwback on Thanksgiving this year. I thought they picked decent opponents overall. Bears on TNF was to be expected, and the Giants with all the red on their white set actually will provide some nice contrast.

What bothers me about calling them "snowcapped" helmets is that it would imply that only the top of them is white. If you want to call the full uniform snowcapped, that at least makes some amount of sense, granted it's still stupid, cringeworthy, and gimmicky like all these other fake color names, but whatever gets the fire emojis flooding the comments sections I guess?

It’s August, which means the Saints decide to look like a professional football team for a few weeks. Great-looking matchup.
