  1. Hopefully with how bad the Cards are expected to be, they say screw it and try a bunch of different combinations and ultimately realize that they look best with some contrasting elements.
  2. And against the Lions, who have very similar colors. They seem to view it as primarily a *home-team-is-wearing-white* uniform these days, regardless of whether the heat is a factor or not. I miss when they'd wear them at home in the regular season either in primetime or in late October:
  3. Mariners wore the aquas on the road in Chicago yesterday, which they (as far as I know) only do when the home team is already wearing blue, navy, or black and they don’t have a choice. The Sox were wearing white for this game though. I can’t recall Seattle doing this any other time this season, but I love it. So tired of them wearing navy all the time.
  4. Titans are going with the rare navy over white look on Friday. They have worn navy over light blue against New England twice with this set, once in the regular season and once in the preseason, and now they once again will be avoiding the all-navy look, which is great but merely a coincidence.
  5. You could also say the plain pants are a reference, although I think the team originally planned to use mono way more often. I feel like they would’ve added a stripe if they realized they would like this combo the best.
  6. Jags and Panthers have both done it for years. Cardinals even wore black last preseason.
  7. This would look too much like the Steelers, who they hate. I think Humphrey is just trying to stir the pot and generate conversation in the comments. He wasn't even on the team the one game they wore them.
  8. The Broncos are now experimenting with solid white socks? These teams just can’t control themselves. Meanwhile, the Colts and Bills both go blue socks with their white jerseys and pants? Preseason is always full of whacky, misleading $hit like this. Most classic example is the Saints pretending to be a gold pants team year after year.
  9. They could wear burgundy pants, which they did for the home opener last year, but that would be way too much red. Seems like a lose-lose situation.
  10. Still better than three, although last year one of the three was at Dallas, who is probably wearing navy throwback on Thanksgiving this year. I thought they picked decent opponents overall. Bears on TNF was to be expected, and the Giants with all the red on their white set actually will provide some nice contrast.

  12. What bothers me about calling them "snowcapped" helmets is that it would imply that only the top of them is white. If you want to call the full uniform snowcapped, that at least makes some amount of sense, granted it's still stupid, cringeworthy, and gimmicky like all these other fake color names, but whatever gets the fire emojis flooding the comments sections I guess?
  13. It’s a treat with either color pants since the team is inexplicably obsessed with white jerseys.
  14. It’s August, which means the Saints decide to look like a professional football team for a few weeks. Great-looking matchup.
  15. I’ve always wondered why the Dolphins swear by their aqua jerseys in the preseason. I get that their games are in the evening but still you’d expect to see some white at home from them of all teams.
  16. If you think this is a lot of navy, get ready for Titans Bears on Saturday. At least the Texans have red jersey numbers and the Pats have silver lids, but literally every element in that game will either be navy or white.
