  1. This is Nike and NFL we're talking about. I hardly think money is the issue.
  2. I was hoping for something like this, but with Nike everything’s gotta be predominately one color for unknown reasons.
  3. First the Falcons ditch the red numbers and now possibly the Texans? Seems like this is done just so that it looks different than the previous uniform, but it eliminates contrast and makes the uniform too heavy on one generic color. How many navy number, navy pant teams do we need? Already have the Titans, Seahawks, Pats, and Bears.
  4. Definitely is unrelated to what the new uniform might look like. The Bears one is orange and not navy and several other teams use secondary colors.
  5. I completely agree. The same can be said about the Broncos switching from navy to orange. The brighter color alternates aren’t meant to be full-time looks. Would be overkill. I wish the Chargers would wear the navy alts for more than one game to at least level things out a bit more.
  6. Jaguars? Would they really do a teal helmet with the black jerseys? Not sure I buy it.
  7. It's definitely possible that some redesigns are done with the intention of only using the look temporarily. Sure, some teams want to keep their iconic looks for the sake of tradition and the brand, but do we really think the Titans, Falcons and Commanders are gonna look like this in 20 years? If every team just went with its most popular, successful uniform set permanently, there wouldn't be much hype or excitement regarding offseason uniform unveils, announcements for throwbacks/alternate dates, etc. Teams would just look their best all the time, which would be a good thing visually but also eliminate a lot of mystery and excitement.
  8. Agreed. I’m beyond tired of this orange jersey especially. Never should’ve became the primary.
  9. The initial rumors already mentioned most of that, but my goodness that sounds like garbage, especially the pants. The only positive thing I take away from this is that there would be three pant colors that can be interchanged. The current's set's lack of mix and match options made it even more boring than it already was.
  10. I suppose Woody allowed them to wear the black pants for that meaningless season finale at Foxboro as a swan song. I still hope they introduce some green pants to wear with the white jersey.
  11. If they absolutely cannot resist the temptation of having a black alternate uniform, then okay, whatever, wear it for a couple games. But we all know this is gonna become an excuse to pair the black pants with the white jerseys, which is undeniably hideous. We are also probably not gonna see much green again since they'll wear both white and black at home for 2-3 games each.
  12. Wow! Is this the first team to listen to the fans and literally “make these permanent” without any modifications? I liked that the retro uniforms limited the amount of black jersey games. Now we’re probably gonna be stuck seeing that generic, worthless, cringeworthy, painfully overused, steaming hot garbage the full three games this year, and that pisses me off.
  13. Maybe it takes years in terms of approval/finalization/supply, but there's no way the Arizona Cardinals spent more than a couple hours or days to come up with those generic catalog uniforms. Unless of course the genius who thought of putting "Protect the Nest" on the collar set aside a year or so of brainstorming time.
  14. Was it this? I also saw the same five teams mentioned in the top comment of this article. It's possible the above account got the info from that guy. https://news.sportslogos.net/2024/01/16/could-seattle-seahawks-get-new-uniforms-in-2024/football/
  15. Popular among the fans maybe, but the team only wore that look for two games this season.
  16. This is a good idea in theory, but then we'd have to trust teams to make the right choices, which absolutely would not happen. The breakdown of combos worn probably wouldn't change much overall. The biggest difference would be teams being unable to go the win streak superstition route and wear the same pant color over and over again as easily like the Lions did this year. And it may get complicated for teams that wear white at home. I'd rather see a rule wear you have to wear your color jersey for at least half of your home games. No more white at home in December for the Bucs or Dolphins, and we'd see more Cowboys navy.
  17. This is a disappointing uniform matchup to close out the season for me. No mystery at all, a common preseason matchup, same as 2019 Super Bowl, two red teams...not loving it. 49ers Ravens would've been cool since Baltimore hasn't worn purple against San Fran in decades. Of course they could've run it back with the white over black from the 2012 Super Bowl, but even that would've been a different uniform matchup than the Christmas game from this year.
  18. This is why, for the sake of the team's future aesthetic, I understand why people on here would want the 49ers to stomp them this weekend. We need some sort of negative association that can be made with these things.
  19. We all knew Detroit would do this, yet seeing the official confirmation still irritates me. Hopefully next season when they play at San Fran they wear blue pants, although that may require a loss this weekend. A Super Bowl with Detroit in white/white against Baltimore in purple/black would look so odd. Sounds more like a Week 9 1pm game.
  20. Chiefs Ravens should look good. Those teams will have given us a completely different uniform pairing for six straight matchups after Sunday's game:
  21. What an embarrassment. If they do win this weekend, is the NFL really gonna let them wear this garbage in the Super Bowl, during media day, in the promos, etc.?
  22. The only logic behind that choice would be that they lost their last games in white/gray and all-white. They are undefeated in all-blue this year, but clearly they don’t think the blue pants are lucky on their own, having only worn them once for a blowout loss at Baltimore.
  23. There is a Buffalo Bills DB wearing black socks. That better be a hefty fine.
  24. The thick gray striping on the blue pants is what makes the look tolerable currently. I really really hope they don’t go that route.
  25. Why would a team with no gray in its color scheme wear gray pants? Those look awful.
