  1. https://twitter.com/GridironUniform/status/1557090014714109954/photo/1 These just keep on coming. Love it. Clearly some errors with this one though. They get less an less believable as you read on: White at LAR who's in bone in Week 2 White at Tampa in Week 5 Black at Carolina who is already wearing all-black I do like the gradient against Chicago. Way better contrast than this:
  2. I was thinking more just jersey colors, but this is also an interesting observation. This year, opening day will likely be the first time they've worn white on white with the 2018 set vs. the Pats. It's been throwback every time. Even 2019 was white throwback.
  3. Another team in all black against the Falcons? I mean, are these teams trying to induce vomit among all spectators at this point? Don’t mind the white at home with the Jaguars in teal for Week 1 though.
  4. Vikings white vs. Saints black is another one of these color matchups that can't ever seem to happen anymore. The last 9 matchups have featured the Vikings in purple and the Saints in white. You have to go all the way back to this day for the last time the Saints wore black against Minnesota: Other matchups like this that never happen anymore that come to mind include: Dolphins white vs. Bengals black (2012) Chiefs white vs. Bengals black (2009) Bengals white vs. Jets green (2010) Texans white vs. Chargers in any shade of blue (2007)
  5. https://twitter.com/Bengals/status/1556668462113644544/photo/1 Bengals schedule is out, and all those who obsessed over the white helmet a couple weeks back are now complaining that the team is only wearing orange for one game (and it's against KC yet again). Can't make this stuff up.
  6. Hopefully the Chiefs go white pants this time around. They did that in that 2009 matchup when the Bengals last wore black. You have to go back all the way to 2003 for the last time the Chiefs wore white on red against the Bengals in black on white. Never happened with the previous Bengals set.
  7. Orange against the Chiefs AGAIN? Ridiculous. At least this confirms the Bucs are wearing red for a home game! Also a bit surprising that they are wearing black in Week 1 for a 1pm game.
  8. https://www.houstontexans.com/game-day/gameday-themes Not sure this has been discussed yet. We knew they'd be in red for the Eagles game, but they are also wearing Color Rush vs. the Browns again, as they did in 2018. White-out game in Week 1 as always, vs. Indy. This team can't ever seem to pick good opponents for its alternate jersey games. It would be nice to see Color Rush or Battle Red against the Titans or Jaguars for a change, or at least some fresh teams.
  9. There is a team in Santa Clara that has basically the same issue.
  10. That's a good point. They were pretty bad the whole time they had these current unis. At least the 2013-2017 set gave us the memory of them going to the AFC championship. If it weren't for some highly controversial Tom-Brady's team-is-playing calls in that game, they very well could've won the Super Bowl in that set. Who knows if they would've stuck to that look or at least kept some elements rather than completely oversimplifying things in 2018.
  11. Unfortunately, that has been the team’s go-to look on the road, with the teal pants typically only being worn once per season on the road with the white jersey. The all-white has usually appeared once or twice, but that looks is just incredibly plain and boring. They need a more interesting rebrand after this season.
  12. I think what bugs me more about the Bucs doing it is that the color scheme becomes so much more pewter-heavy, whereas when a team like the Dolphins does it, they still feel like an aqua team. The numbers, the socks, etc. are still all aqua. The Bucs have a nice color scheme that works better with the red jersey.
  13. We can assume the Cowboys one is a mistake, and that being said, this is pretty much a perfect uniform schedule. The only white at home forces the Cowboys into navy, and the blue throwbacks are a nice alternate look that will spice things up a couple of matchups. Panthers, take note.
  14. This is disappointing if true. Hopefully the Giants made a mistake, as several teams have in the past with these things. The Broncos last year said they'd be in white at Dallas on theirs before releasing an "updated" uniform schedule. On a side note, I'm really happy to see they won't be in blue at Tennessee like in 2014, probably thanks to the late afternoon kickoff. The Titans seem to only do white at home for 1pm games, which is nice.
  15. They wore black in Week 5 vs. the Eagles last year too.
  16. Boy does this team need yet another rebrand after this season. As if the HOF game wasn't already unwatchable, viewers now have to look at this:
  17. Most NFL teams DO wear colored jerseys for a majority of the season, which is why the ratio becomes so skewed and frustrating for teams like the Bucs and Panthers. We see their white jerseys for most road games as it is, leading to white being worn 12-13 out of 17 games. So even if you're one of these "Their white look is better anyway" people, that doesn't mean the colored look isn't solid enough that it's worth seeing for more than 15-20% of the season. And yes, darker colors absorb more heat. No one is denying that scientific fact. All we're saying is perhaps these teams can be more reasonable with at what point in the season they decide to make the slightly inconvenient sacrifice to please the fans and wear their colors. The Bucs wearing white at home in January is a joke, whether you like that look or not. The Panthers wearing white at home for late afternoon games in October when it will be dark by the 4th quarter is questionable. If you read any social media comments sections from a team who posts a uniform schedule like this, they are loaded with complaints from top to bottom. I'm not quite sure how these meetings go. "Hey, the fans really love this uniform, so how about we wear it as little as possible? Sound good?"
  18. The Jaguars seem to have a different set of rules. When teal was the alternate, they had no issues wearing it twice in the preseason and three more times in the regular season.
  19. How else are they gonna make room for their 12 white jersey games?
  20. I think Week 10 might be a white game but hopefully Week 12 is in fact aqua, unlike last season.
  21. All good points. Maybe the Panthers are giving the Bucs a taste of their own medicine and forcing them into their dark color for that Week 7 game. The Week 5 game vs. San Fran is what really baffles me. Last year the Panthers wore black in Week 5 for a 1pm game against Philly.
  22. Enough with the heat excuses. This team stopped wearing white by early October the past few seasons and survived. That is what is most bothersome about it to me. Why do they suddenly decide to do things differently? I guess maybe new organization members are in charge of the decision this season or something, but either way, would it kill them to wear light blue for a 4:25 kickoff in October rather than white to break up a 9 game stretch? I mean even the Cowboys don't usually go that many games without their color jersey appearing a couple of times.
  23. I was thinking the same thing. And I thought we'd see blue or black for the Week 4 late afternoon game against Arizona onward. First 9 games in white is embarrassing.
  24. https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-2022-jersey-schedule Unbelievable. I thought they'd stop wearing white at home by Week 4 or 5. This is the longest they've worn it in years. First NINE games will be in white. Pathetic. Light blue only once and in Week 17 at Tampa? Why are the Bucs obsessed with white? Why do the Panthers suddenly refuse to wear blue at home? I mean at least we get to see the Bucs in red at Carolina in Week 7, but other than that, this schedule is simply terrible.
