  1. I think I'd prefer them in their regular red-heavy road set, since this probably won't happen often.
  2. Cowboys are wearing navy throwback vs. the Giants on Thanksgiving. INCREDIBLE. Finally, that matchup will feel a bit different. What a breath of fresh air after years of early-season meetings in Dallas with same uniform pairing every time.
  3. I'm curious what this means for New York's Color Rush white throwbacks. Will those only be worn once now? It's so unclear what therules are at this point. And is that black Panthers look considered Color Rush, or has the assumption that alternate helmets can't be worn with standard jerseys been put to rest? The Saints seemingly couldn't pair the black helmet with the black jersey (Thank God) because they wanted to keep their white Color Rush, which has me thinking this is the case for Carolina.
  4. I always enjoy a nice mix of traditional vs. modern. It always makes the overdesigned uniforms look a little less offensive when at least one of the teams looks good.
  5. Yeah, this seems like they just wanted to get in on the fun, when they basically could've brought back this look any time in the past decade.
  6. Well the good news is that. at this rate, every team in the league will soon have a helmet that matches the rest of its uniform. In the year 2022, contrast and creativity equals bad.
  7. Just what we needed: another all-black look in the NFC South. And it will be worn against a black team. Just perfection. This rule is simply terrific.
  8. Both teams from the Super Bowl this year mixed and matched a ton throughout the season, but I agree this is usually not the case for Super Bowl teams.
  9. One question that no one seems to have addressed is whether this snow tiger look will be a home or road alternate look. In 2020, the team wore white Color Rush at home twice and orange only once, which was disappointing. In 2021, they wore orange three times once the Color Rush had basically become the standard road uniform. Now we are back with two alternate looks in the mix, which I'm not a fan of, especially when the team already has numerous jersey/pant/sock combinations AND since the 'rule' is that three alternate games is supposed to be the max. I personally hope the orange is favored and worn twice with the white being worn once.
  10. https://www.bengals.com/history/white-bengal Is this really all we’re getting today?
  11. That white helmet with orange stripes to match the white pants might work if they put the black trim on the helmet stripes too. At least it would match and those weird clownfish pant stripes wouldn’t feel so out of place.
  12. I'm gonna go ahead and predict the rest of the Texans schedule. The ones in bold I think are a lock: 1 vs. IND blue/white vs. white/white 2 at DEN white/navy vs. orange/white 3 at CHI white/navy vs. navy/white 4 vs. LAC white/white vs. navy/white 5 @ JAC white/navy vs. teal/black 7 @LV white/navy vs. black/silver 8 vs. TEN white/white vs. navy/white 9 vs. PHI white/black vs. red/white (really hope the Eagles wear green pants here) 10 @NYG white/navy vs. blue/white 11 vs. WAS white/white vs. navy/white 12 at MIA white/navy vs. aqua/white (I am hopeful the Fins wear aqua at this point like they've done before last season) 13 vs. CLE white/brown at navy/white 14 at DAL navy/navy vs. white/mint (Just have a feeling they spice things up here as some teams have done in Dallas before) 15 vs. KC white/red vs. navy Color Rush (with the red and white being worn in the first half of the season, the Color Rush will likely be toward the end of the season) 16 at TEN white/navy vs. Columbia/navy 17 vs. JAC white/black vs. navy/white (would love to see the teal pants here) 18 at IND white/navy vs. blue/white
  13. It really is ridiculous when teams do this. I wish they could've worn them a week earlier against Tennessee and spared us of another one of these abominations:
  14. That red helmet would look awesome with the navy or Color Rush navy jersey. But I presume it will be paired with the battle red jersey and white pants and they'll look just like the Chiefs. I hate this new rule outside of throwback uniforms. Color balance will likely continue to be ruined. And against the Eagles again. Really? At least it's not against the Colts for a third straight season.
  15. At Philly Week 2 will be a white game. I think Week 10 could be a throwback game for Buffalo, but they could also wear blue. They wore white vs. Minnesota last meeting in 2014, so hopefully it's blue.
  16. I think the Saints always wear gold pants in the preseason with either jersey. Broncos in white at home would be something.
  17. You may have nailed all three orange jersey games. I just hope it’s against some other teams. We’ve already seen the orange against all of those teams in recent seasons. (MIA 2018), (KC 2015,2021), BUF (2017). They wore orange against Carolina in 2014 too, so I guess there isn’t much left besides ATL and BAL on their schedule in terms of new possibilities. And as you said, they always wear black against the Ravens for some reason.
  18. It would be awesome if they somehow wore them for the home opener against Baltimore with the Ravens in purple pants, but the stars would need to align for both of those things to happen.
  19. I don't think it has anything to do with the Lions. More of a Thanksgiving thing and that's who their opponent happened to be. Still possible it can be worn then1
  20. The question now becomes what game(s) will they wear these for? When they were last around, the Pats always seemed to wear them against the Jets.
  21. What does a black helmet do for the Jets or Eagles exactly? The green helmet gets lost anyway with such poor contrast. Might as well leave an additional speck of your ACTUAL team color. I will say, some of these work better than expected (Cardinals, maybe Bills), but some are just destroying color balance (Texans, Bears, Titans). That Bears look is especially pitiful without the navy helmet.
  22. Perhaps you’ll think again once you realize the rebrand would be an over-designed all green look, all white look, and all black look.
  23. The Saints have arguably the best Color Rush look in the league, and they somehow find a way to ruin it? I just can't wrap my head around why the league is allowing and encouraging this watering down of brands. yeah, it's just a game (or almost definitely two) but why is this necessary? Such a slippery slope, and while they at least are avoiding all black or all white, most teams will likely not take this approach.
  24. Nope. It works for them, but the point is that there don’t seem to be any rules restricting teams from doing whatever they want, which in other cases might not work so nicely.
  25. By this logic, pretty much any team could introduce an all-black “Color Rush” look even if black isn’t in their scheme. The league hasn’t made any effort to discourage this pathetic trend in any way, so keep expecting teams to do it. Look at the Chargers, for instance. Navy and royal aren’t anywhere on their home or away uniform, yet both of these colors are featured as “Color Rush” looks.
