I'm not denying that. But you said nothing happened in the white helmets apart from Simpson's record season. And that is incorrect.

The important point is that the white-helmeted look had already been firmly established when the red helmet was brought in. Even four latter-day AFC titles do not undo the team's foundational history.

And the team in effect acknowledged this by restoring its signature look (in the manner, as mentioned above, of the Padres, the Blue Jays, and the Orioles).

Motivated in part because of the one helmet rule. By going to white helmets fulltime again, it allows them to do standing buffalo throwbacks. A red helmet wouldnt allow that.

Haven't the Canucks been doing just that since Adidas took over the NHL Contract? Their two reverse retros have been blue and green and they had an alternative blue and green jersey with the stick in rink logo on the front. Using blue and green (albeit with a much darker blue) for both RRs sure seems like embracing that identity.

Since the Reebok EDGE takeover (2007-2008 first season) in fact

Current skate has been the first fulltime alt that wasnt blue and green since then. That's 15+ years of stability, a rarity for the canucks

Mockup of the full Toronto kit based on that leaked jersey pic^ and the shorts and socks that were seen at MLS Media Day. Really struggling to find anything positive to say about it.

They know what colour shorts they should be wearing.
    It's better than their alt

This is the first anyone’s ever said Buffalo’s white on blue or the Titans’ white on powder are trash, which makes your whole take kind of a waste of time. You’re just being contrarian for contrarian’s sake.

Buffalo's blue pants ARE awful. Especially when worn with blue socks.

That said, if the Bills did what they should and wear red socks then we have a different story.

Even if they redesigned everything to your liking, they would ruin it with mono-chrome purple, plain white socks with the white pants, and jerseys and undershirts not tucked in.

    Honestly so much this.

The Bills have a top set. That they then go and ruin by unstriped socks and going full mono blue and full mono white on the road.

Interesting to see that the excess of added time we saw at the World Cup isn't being applied to EPL games. I wondered if UEFA or the FA would apply those rules as well.

I'm guessing that it'll be implemented with the next new season.

Will be something to see when MLS hits soon or in the fall.

The NFL will never do this, however if they actually care about their product and player safety, these Thursday Night games need to go. This is the first one I've watched all season (aside from Thanksgiving), but the quality of play is so poor (on both sides). Couple that with all of these ridiculous injuries (literally as I'm typing this a Titan DB was carted off only minutes after the Cowboys center was carted off due to injury), and all of these players on both teams sitting tonight because of the short week just means it'll be a poor game.

Football is a violent, physical game. It's clear that playing multiple games in only a few days is awful for players.

This is why i'm glad the Bills played two thursdays in a row. Sure, the same effects happened on the thanksgiving game.

The second game though? normal rest

Russia threatens to leave UEFA for the AFC. Even though they're currently banned from international competition, I don't see how this helps them when they are allowed to start playing again. They would be the big kid on the block to start, but the level of international club competitions and national team competitions aren't likely to help them as much as they  would in UEFA. The money is going to drop off too, so it's not as good an idea as they think.

It's one thing for a country like Australia, who faced no real competition in Oceania and jumped to the Afc because of that(and autobids to WC).

But to leave Uefa? Makes ZERO sense.

    Well....

2022 is in the books. Max won again.

To date Aston Martin is the only team that announced their car launch date: Feb 13.

There's been a good amount of seat changes:

    • Red Bull is keeping Max Verstappen (of course) and Sergio Perez but, of note, they brought back Daniel Ricciardo as the reserve driver.
    • Ferrari's seats aren't changing. 3 years in a row it's been Charles LeClerc and Carlos Sainz. Their big news is that brought in Fred Vasseur from Alfa Romeo to replace Binotto as the team principal.
    • Mercedes has Lewis Hamilton and George Russell driving again. Much like Red Bull, they brought in someone who had a seat last year to be the reserve driver in Mick Schumacher. 2022 was the first year Hamilton failed to get a pole or victory and I think this will be a story to watch this year, was it a bad year or are we seeing Hamilton coming towards the end?
    • Alpine retained Esteban Ocon but added Pierre Gasly. Will be interesting to see if Gasly succeeds away from the Red Bull teams.
    • With Dannyric gone, Oscar Piastri joins Lando Norris at McLaren. There was a lot of controversy around Piastri joining McLaren from the Alpine academy product being announced as getting the seat for Alpine earlier in the year and him denying that. There's a lot of promise around him, should be interesting to see if it materializes.
    • Alfa Romeo had a strong start to 2022 and ended up in 6th and they'll stay with Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
    • Fernando Alonso did not hide his displeasure with Alpine and now he's getting a new start with Aston Martin. Lance Stroll was unsurprisingly retained.
    • Haas is a team that just can't seem to find stability. They added Kevin Magnussen last year upon dropping Nikita Mazepin and Uralkali due to Russian ties (as per the board rules, let's not talk about that. I only mention it because it's a fact) and then they decided to part ways with Mick Shumacher at the end of the season and brought in Nico Hulkenberg. People immediately brought up the "suck my balls" incident so it will be interesting to see if Haas has a pair of drivers who will get along this season or not.
    • AlfaTauri retained Yuki Tsunoda who will be joined by rookie Nyck de Vries. de Vries subbed in for Alex Albon at the Italian Grand Prix and scored points by finishing in 9th so he'll be another interesting story to follow.
    • Alex Albon remains at William who have added rookie Logan Sargeant who spent 1 full year in F2.

There will be 6 sprint races this year up from the 3 they had last year. Also a Las Vegas GP has been added this year while the Chinese GP has been cancelled.

The question becomes, will Gasly and Ocon's families get along or will they fight. Seeing as they hate each other.

Oh wow, that’s great. Just ordered myself an Atlanta shirt and hopefully will have it a month and a half before release! Lol. If I’m reading the site correctly, international shipping with DHL takes 4 days.

I've gotten in 2-3, but with this being the holiday season and all it'll be a little slower.

Should also worth mentioning that it's owned by Panini France, who also runs the french football federation's webstore as well as the olympique de marseille's official webstore so it's legit.

For the Steelers, I like the block font more, but really, the arguments for each font are valid. Being almost 30, the italic font is what I grew up with, and I always kind of used it as a way to differentiate between the two eras where the Steelers were most dominant.

Block font = Super Steelers of the 70's... IX, X, XIII, XIV... Bradshaw, Swann, Franco (RIP), etc.

Italic font = Steelers of the 2000's... XL, XLIII... Ben, Bettis, Ward, Polamalu, etc.

What they are rumored to be bringing back for this weekend that I am passionate about them making permanent again - gold endzones. I get why the field at Acrisure is painfully boring due to sharing with Pitt, but Pitt does wear the same shade of gold now...

Honestly, they could make the //// endzone be a straight yellow, or make the /// black/blue like they do the PITTSBURGH wordmark.

And then repaint when pitt is done.

Ok, fair enough but you still need to have some sort of cash flow or you'd end up propping it up like the women's.

It's not enough to just have TEAMNAME II or TEAMNAME B etc, there should be a reference to the Senior or Major team but something that let's you know it's not the Senior team.

Examples are New York Red Bulls could be NYRB Toros, Los Angeles FC could be LAFC Golden Stars, Sporting KC could have Sporting Wizards etc.

These would be much more appealing to those fans that do like the NXT.

These arent seperate teams though, just a division of the MLS team.

    Just like a youth organization fields a U23, U18, U16 and a U8 team.
