Considering they lean heavily into the aspect of honoring the team, why not combine elements of uniforms past into one cohesive identity? Or was that just too difficult of an idea to comprehend? So what better way to say “we love this franchise and it’s fans” more than a completely new uniform built from zero.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the burgundy jersey as I’ve stated before, but the white uniform and mind-boggling decision to include a ridiculously out of nowhere black helmet really irks me.

It's very interesting that they explicitly ruled out Red Wolves. That one must have tested extremely well. Otherwise, why even acknowledge the interest and legal hurdles at all?
They mentioned it because of how popular the name was among most, but not all, fans. Literally the only reason.

I’m wondering if a gold helmet was ever considered. It’s a shame we’re getting a possible black helmet instead
-
I’m particularly fond of them seemingly taking inspiration from the recent throwbacks

There's a giant window right next to them. It's just light reflecting off of the decal, and it's the same color as the reflecting parts of the facemask. It's just a simple gold stripe.
What? There’s literally proof of the asymmetrical stripe

I’m convinced they have two burgundy helmets.
One has a thick gold stripe, big bold W logo and black facemask
The other has the asymmetrical thin white-gold “rough” stripe, whatever logo, and gold facemask

I’m probably reaching, but is that a logo reflection on the football/glass case?
Also, I wouldn’t put it past the team to do logo on one side and numbers on the other

If you look closely at when Team President Jason Wright hands the first helmet to Rivera, its a burgundy helmet, but has a black facemask. Not gold like what’s shown later.

I must’ve missed the black helmet in the video. Where is it?

I think it's going to be Warriors, and they'll do a stacked WW ala the WWE, only fatter.
Didn’t they say it wasn’t gonna be Warriors very early in the process?

Idk that just seems like the temporary roundel logo they’ve been using for two seasons now

The burgundy jersey looks amazing, but the white one not so much. I do love the faux mesh look. I’m just hoping we don’t get plain stripe-less pants.

Man, there better be some gold on that away uniform.
Just came here to say that.
I find it weird that there’s no gold shown. I know the whole alt helmet thing is for alternate uniforms only, but it’s weird that the team president presented Rivera with “one of the main helmets”. It makes me think that because it’s an entirely new identity, the team got an exemption.

"one of the main helmets"
oh dear god...
I noticed that too. It makes me think we’ll only have two jerseys but also two helmets to use interchangeably

UPDATE:
Unveiling date will be 2-2-2022 and...
Redwolves will NOT be the new name due to legal hurdles
plus, we get a glimpse at the new uniforms

It’s still technically the 2021 season...
From the always reliable Twitter-verse...
Some guy knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows for certain the new name for Washington will in fact be “Red Wolves” and the team is writing a check to Arkansas State for use of the name
Also, some close friends of mine attended the game yesterday and said that the team was giving super vague hints about a “big announcement” coming on the 30th anniversary (January 26th) of their 1992 Super Bowl win.-

Hopefully this opinion fares better than my Rams one...
Until the Steelers get a better number font, their primary uniform set isn’t even Top 10.

I actually loved the Rams LA-transitional set from 2017-19. Specifically this uniform

Byron Leftwich could be a curveball as a possible HC for the Jaguars too.
Pencil in Kellen Moore as a potential candidate. I believe he’s done well enough as Dallas OC to warrant at least a review of application.
