Someone needs to show the Colts that it’s perfectly okay to use blue facemasks

Agreed, we're looking at 2023 at minimum for any Detroit changes.
If all Detroit did was remove the “WCF” patch and maybe had a number font change, would they still need to wait an extra year? It’s not a total uniform overhaul. Just some minor fixes.

Other than Washington and possibly Detroit (if the rumors are true), are there any other teams making uniform changes for next season?
-
My favorite uniform combination in the NFL is when the helmet and socks match colors and the jersey and pants are white-

Supposedly Tua going to Washington is part of the Watson-Miami deal

Washington has released K Dustin Hopkins after struggling big time this season
They then decided to elevate K Chris Blewitt from the Practice Squad
I’m sure this will end well.

I can't ignore the dumbest looking helmet in NFL history because it was the biggest part of the whole uniform. Also, the logo was and continues to be a PROBLEM.
I don’t understand the hate this logo gets. 10x better and a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

I feel like the Jags' two toned helmet distracted you from noticing how horrible the entire uniform was. Even with the current helmet that uniform is a disaster. The big blocky pants panels alone make it a D+.
Out of curiosity, how exactly is it a disaster in your opinion?

I would absolutely take the 2013-2018 Jaguars set over the current Jaguars set any day of the week.

Honestly, the Lions are a removal of “WCF” and a standard block font away from a solid Top 10 set

Really? I feel there's got to be someone else that wins that prize? Maybe Darrell Green or John Riggins, just off of the top of my head.
That said, I know that's not the point. The real point, and it is clear and obvious, is that the WFT threw this together on the spur of the moment to create a smoke screen. As a Washington fan, I can 100% confirm that within the fan base, Sean Taylor is completely fetishized.
IMO, it’s embarrassing when the team has had all this talent in their history, but fans choose to settle on a player who (unfortunately) never got to grow into his full potential.
I get it. Sean Taylor was one hell of a player. However, I still strongly believe 21 shouldn’t have been retired, but instead given to players who best exemplified the character that Taylor held on the field.
The funny but sad part about the 21 retirement is that the family was gifted a framed NIKE jersey. It’s literally the same thing Landon Collins was gifted when he got denied access by the team to wear 21. There was nothing special or heartfelt about the entire situation. It was strictly business to the team.

Yeah, there was nothing sentimental about this. The most beloved player in team history used purely as an effort to distract fans from the on going investigations into the team.
There’s also widely despised, egotistical, dancing maniac, brother of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, Jackson dancing on the 21 Tribute. He has since issued an apology, but I also don’t know if I should hate him even more for this or if I should question the team’s decision to allow VIPs to stand in that section.

By that logic everything that has had the same uniform since the 90’s is in “generic catalog garbage”. It isn’t a catalog uniform when it is the original that it is based off of.
Not necessarily. I don’t consider the Panthers catalog garbage. Green Bay on the other hand is just overtly bland. It might just be the team’s refusal to go fully Nike material with their jerseys. There’s nothing about the uniform that gives me any amount of serotonin. The only thing that came close to it was the inclusion of white pants for color rush.

I’ve never thought the Packers uniforms were as good as people make them out to be. They may be “classic”, but they’re also generic catalog garbage.

That would look a lot better with a matte or even satin helmet. I'm not sure if it's even possible to match that specific color across mediums, but having a flat finish on the lid might at least make it closer.
It reminds me of the situation Minnesota encountered a couple seasons ago.
(new on left, old on right)
In their case, it’s still the same finish, but at least it shows something like a slight color change would be possible to accommodate the rest of the uniform.

Yep poor photo shop, doesn’t even include the teal cuffs.
Which I’m sure damn near everyone would be willing to drop in favor of teal number outlines

Current Helmet
Previous Jerseys (probably unpopular opinion, but I liked them)

He's not in the game, so he shouldn't be in the game. Doesn't really need to be more than that. Presumably they'll add in his replacement at some point?
You’re right. HE’s not. We’re talking about a number. I’m a Washington fan 100% and Taylor was an incredible player for the team, but I still deny the sentiment that his number should be retired. He (sadly) wasn’t able to accomplish enough in his very short career to justify a removal of number in circulation or number retirement
-
The Washington Football Team is officially retiring 21 on Sunday
I’m of the opinion that the number shouldn’t be retired and needed to be back in circulation a few years ago.

Don’t let the pants stripe distract you from the fact that Carolina needs to decide whether to keep the panther logo or the numbers on the sleeves

Turns out Stephon Gilmore wasn’t released this morning, but actually traded to the Panthers for a draft pick

This is Daniel Jones’s “prove it” year.
This is Ben Roethlisberger’s “I definitely :censored: my pants and can’t clean myself up” year.
Ship Jones to Pittsburgh either at midseason or wait until the offseason when Big Ben is forced to retire.
