Did not have Washington Journey on my bingo board, I'll admit.
That’s not the new team name. That’s just the name of the website.

Washington’s new name is for sure coming in 2022
https://www.washingtonjourney.com
The team has made a final decision and has started conversations with the NFL, Nike, and its internal team on the execution of its new identity.

IMO, the Jaguars could easily merge their current set and prior set to have a good-to-great set

Thanks! I will say you guessed five teams correctly. I don't think I'll be doing the Yankees, because changing their colors sounds sacrilege (also, Nets colors would make them look just like the White Sox). I'm on the fence about doing the Cards x Blues (that would basically just mean swapping out navy for royal blue, correct?) but I suppose if there's enough demand I can do it.
For the Yankees, maybe go with the Jets colors? Or even the limbo-relegated XFL New York Guardians?

I'd really like them to make the away numbers teal, though if they're going to be allowed to make a change, I think I'd rather them just do a small rebrand, one that isn't close to boring.
The only things they’d be able to change right now are the pants and socks

When you get to the Nationals, may I suggest the Capitals old blue-black-gold scheme?
Great start to the series! Looking forward to the rest!

I don't like throwbacks as a frequently used alternate on any team. I think at most they should be used once or twice on an anniversary.
Does anyone on here have any connections with the Dolphins? They need to read this and be able to fully comprehend it.

49ers should only use red, gold and white. End of story. And no jersey should ever be missing the color the pants and helmet uses.
Tell that to the Giants and their piss poor away jersey...

One of the better parts about the new Rams uniform is how it doesn’t force the awkward sleeve horn wraparound like previous iterations

That's nothing at all like the "reverse retro" concept.
From the NHL Website-
QuoteEverything old is new with the adidas Reverse Retro alternate jerseys, a play on all 31 NHL teams' throwback jerseys with modern twists. This marks the first time every NHL team is included in an alternate jersey rollout, and the collection is a colorful mix of primary and secondary logos, old school and new school striping, and reimagined classics.
Each jersey was inspired by one worn by the team during a season with some historical significance; the entire design process took about two years. Teams will wear the jerseys multiple times this season, including designated rivalry games.
I’d argue that the 49ers concept from above falls into the “reimagined classics” category.- 1

Yesterday, I began to notice a flag icon for reporting on all the top ad banners. I’d assume this is a new site feature?

Not sure how much of an unpopular opinion this is, but Vegas’ Reverse Retro uniform should stay around for a while. It’s better than the gold jersey too

I started watching football in the 2000's, I don't care for the weird and out there 90's throwbacks. They look bad and how successful they were in them doesn't take away from that.
I’d argue that the Cowboys CR is pretty tame in comparison to their 90s counterpart aka the sleeve logo isn’t in your face. At least it has some cohesiveness to one of their uniforms whether it’s with silver pants or the CR white pants.
There’s also nothing really outlandish in the 49ers uniform either. Whether it’s the 90s or the throwback

Honestly, I view the 49ers as never actually having a CR Uniform. The black ones were unveiled a year before CR was even a thing AND they debuted with red socks
As for the all whites, they debuted after the CR doors shuttered and were unveiled as “throwbacks”

Cowboys and Niners have two of the worst color rush uniforms, they'd be big downgrades from their current sets.

Do this minus the mono requirement and we have something.
It wouldn’t even be very hard to accomplish this, honestly. There’s enough history in uniforms between the teams to come up with a new uniform for each team. Although, teams like Baltimore, Carolina, and Houston who haven’t gone through significant uniform change would likely need a legitimate fauxback.

I’d love to see it. It’s kinda what the Patriots did with their color rush.
Broncos, Saints, Rams, Steelers, Colts among a few others. Just rebrand Color Rush and develop new uniforms for some teams.

FauxbackFootball. Get ready.
I could see the NFL using this as an NHL Reverse Retro equivalent, but alas, they don’t have the kahonas to do it.

Watching a team wear white-on-white every week en route to finishing 4-12 sounds mind-numbingly boring
Same with a certain Texas team doing it every year just to constantly hover around 8-8
