We already do. Buffalo last year used both gray and white, before the redesign the Jets used dark green, white, and Kelly green, tons of teams have gray masks for throwbacks, the Chargers have yellow and navy. There's probably a few other examples I'm forgetting.
Washington uses gold & grey
Miami uses white & grey
Giants use grey & white
Green Bay has used green & blue
Chicago has used blue & grey
Kansas City has used white & grey
Ironically, all have been for throwback uniforms like you said

Yeah I'm not arguing the sense, its just that I never see it where I live. I see it in bottles (plastic or aluminum) and even those squishy drink packs, but in cans I can't recall the last time I saw it.
They sell it at Whole Foods, 7-11, Sheetz, and GetGo (Giant Eagle Fuel Service)

It seems a little excessive for water. It would be intense on an energy drink. Thats something I'd expect on a 70% whiskey from some hipster distillery.
Also its weird to me to see water in cans outside some emergency preparedness kit.
I’d say it makes sense to use cans. It reduces plastic waste. Which a lot of their marketing is centered around. I personally find it better tasting than other leading water brands. Yes, not all water tastes the same.

Sure, it’s just water, but boy is it some high quality H2O.

I remember seeing a graphic on a pregame show for Washington that had a burgundy helmet with white/gold/white stripes and a white facemask. It actually looked decent. I’ve tried looking for it again, but can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Dear god no...
There isn't even enough gold on the uniform to justify having a color that bright on the helmet
I’d argue they have roughly the same amount of gold/yellow as Washington-
Now, I’m not saying a yellow facemask would help the Minnesota uniforms, but it’s certainly justified when you compare it to a team who also uses the same color in a similar manner.
(Personally, I’d rather have Washington use a gray facemask)

The top one does look better.
Navy helmets with navy facemasks (like Bears, Broncos) look just fine to me.
I can agree on the Bears and Broncos. I wouldn’t expect them to try anything drastic like orange facemasks

A prime example of a team that would look best with a grey facemask.
Not the best, but yeah sure it works
and the same goes for white

Y’all really think this-
looks better than this?
IMO, anytime a helmet and facemask are the same color (outside of white and black), it looks very cheap.

But we're probably at the point at which the topic of gray face masks need to be given the distinction of "quasi-political" and banned.

Nevermind. BBTV beat me to it

I’m still of the opinion that the Raiders should’ve made the switch to black facemasks upon their arrival in Las Vegas

The only parts of this uniform that match are the jersey and socks.
Remember this?
At least with Washington, it’s just a throwback jersey worn once a year. Minnesota dealt with mismatched purples on a regular basis for 6 seasons.

List of NFL teams that look good with grey facemasks:
- Colts
- 49ers
That's the list.
I’d add a third team to that list.
Washington

I really don’t see a problem with teams opting to use multiple different colored facemasks

Wait, the Bills white face mask thing was a joke? That’s cruel

I’m sure we’ve all done it at least a time or two. Maybe you liked it, maybe you hated it. You initially bought the product because the branding looked great in your eyes. No other motive.
Here’s a few of mine-

@BBTV I’m not really familiar with McNabb’s accolades while in Philadelphia, but has he truly garnered the recognition of a retired number?

As to the 'here we go again with Washington v. DC', I'm not trying to be that guy. However, I don't think they will call themselves DC based on (1) their history as being called Washington (2) the history of all Big 4 sports teams in the area calling themselves Washington, and (3) the fact that their current location in Landover MD wouldn't allow them to call themselves DC while being situated in Maryland. Item (1) outweighs a call that I'm saying they need to be Landover or Maryland.
Full disclosure, I agree with you.
However, it hasn’t stopped other non-Big 4 teams from adopting a name that isn’t Washington.
As for the Big 4, two of the Washington teams have utilized a “DC” logo in some capacity

Unless it’s some incredibly unique name, a team is bound to choose something that already exists in the plane on sports identities. There will always be duplicates, copycats, etc.

Too close to Minnesota. I want something unique.
You’re on to something. If only the Giants, Rangers, Cardinals, Jets, and Kings knew this information

Imagine if the Vikings swapped out their facemasks in this game too and called it a throwback game.
