In light of the Jets shoehorning an all black alt helmet and uniform into their set, we absolutely cannot rule out Dallas unveiling a “City Lights Texas Nights” black alternate

Good point. Guess it's a lot different than the Colts or Commanders adding black out of nowhere.
Hopefully the black pants are never paired with anything other than the black jersey.
We all know they’ll do it and in the worst way possible. As for the other black uniform elements, the all green set could benefit from black socks.

These are some damn good uniforms for the Jets. Even the black set. Could definitely do without the black helmet, but it is what it is.

Jets uniforms will supposedly be unveiled at 9 AM

Time for Tennessee to bust out the silver helmets for their third option

I have a feeling they're going collective noun. If so, Swarm works very well for the beehive state. I'd expect black/yellow colors then, which would suck. But maybe instead go non-traditional and go purple/gold. Would be too close to Jazz colors.
If they go with an animal:
Rams (no, even though they can, I don't want to see teams in multiple leagues/sports have the same name and doubt they want it, too)
Bighorns (it works, but I don't associate Bighorns with Utah as much as I do other states.
Cougars (has the older woman trope ruined this name now for teams?)
Bobcats (failed NBA team name, could work, but doubt they wouldn't want to try something new)
Black Bears/Bears (Bruins? Feels generic, too. Also, not as fierce. The old Utah Grizzlies names would be meaner/angrier/fiercer but we know that was already a minor league name)
Jackrabbits (Again, I know they might be there but I associate Jackrabbits with more western plains states moreso than Utah)
In no particular order, my preference (and my preferred colors/logo ideas):
Utah Mountaineers (blue and green, logo could be a bighorn)
Utah Archers (rust red, sand, and black; Wild themed anomalous logo)
Utah Rockers (rust red, sand, and black; Wild themed anomalous logo)
Utah Swarm (purple and gold, or black and gold; hornet/bee logo)
Utah Yellow Jackets (primary yellow, navy/black/gold secondary)
Utah Venom (black/red, or yellow/red/black)
Utah Stingers (black/red, or yellow/red/black)
Utah Dragons (like Archers/Rockers, rust red, sand, and black)
They could definitely go a bit Wild West with the name.

• Outlaws
• Wranglers
• Rattlers
• Herd
• Pioneers
• Railroaders
• Wagoners
• Blizzards (think ice lizards)
• Sundancers
Gosh, I love blindly throwing darts and hoping they stick.

Sorry, any memorial patch/decal/sticker shouldn’t last more than a season. Regardless of dead owner’s morality and contributions while six feet above.

Utah Jackals
Utah Jackrabbits would be a fun identity to explore.

I can’t wait until Washington honors Dan Snyder with a permanent patch for being such an iconic sack of :censored: owner

They should’ve just pulled a Baltimore Colts and not said anything until they were already in Utah.

I think it's more so a matter of wanting to start fresh in Utah, without the stigma of a 'failed franchise' coming with it.
I said last page that calling them the Utah Coyutes would be clever. Especially when you consider how some people pronounce “coyote”.
It is interesting how quickly an identity can be developed on such short notice.

Deserts and coyotes are very much a thing in Utah. Not sure why we’re expecting such a drastic identity change.

Da Bears still have Halas' initials on their jersey and he died 42 years ago. He was a notorious cheapskate too.
It’s kinda also like how the Chiefs should get rid of their Lamar Hunt/AFL patch

Utah Coyutes would be a bit silly, but clever deviation on the regular spelling of the name

I'll grant you classic if it were a college or high school uniform, because the aesthetic of nickname or location on the front of a football uniform is not a classic NFL aesthetic.
Totally agree on your monochrome statement.
Fair. However, they essentially took their 80s/90s design and updated it. From what I’ve been able to see, most loved that design. Is the current design a step down? Perhaps, but it’s certainly not a jump. Obviously it’s all up to interpretation, but IMO it’s what I’ll always want to see out of a set and it certainly beats the crap out of their Reebok fiasco.

...and the Cardinals in 2023
Honestly, the Cardinals new uniforms do have a nice classic and timeless feel to them. It has everything anyone would want out of a football uniform. Every component by itself is very well done. Whether or not they decide to mix and match and not go monochrome for 17 games a season is on them.

I’d welcome an inverted version of this Cowboys helmet. White star and stripes, navy blue base.

For some reason, the forum went completely blank on me while on safari mobile.
However, it works fine in private mode and in Google Chrome on mobile.

It still possible for the NFL to retain its 3-per-season alternate uniform rule. It’s just up to the team to decide which alternate helmet they want fans to see more.

I do wonder how long before the players get the bright idea of wanting to put the chrome green facemask on the green helmets
