Also, the Pioneer League's Missoula PaddleHeads have an alternative identity that is the PowderHeads:

Pioneer League adding the Oakland Ballers for 2024. A bit outside their footprint, but it is what it is.

Past precedent suggests they’ll go for 1-loss Ohio State.

I'm done going in circles. You win. He definitely did it because a lawyer rounded up a bunch of women and sued him with 0 evidence. Happy?
By the way, the "not guilty" vs "innocent" thing doesn't even apply here. This case didn't even make it to criminal trial because their evidence was so weak.
The only reason he wasn't found innocent is because the case literally didn't even have enough evidence to go to trial.
Innocent is a statement of fact.
Guilty is statement of fact.
Not guilty is not a statement of fact. It's implicitly stating you don't have enough proof to go either way.

That central division is basically AF2. Or the MAC. Existing mostly to play the other bigger teams and to boost their numbers.

Didn't see this mentioned.

Those two were not found innocent, they were found not guilty. It's an important distinction.
It's aggravating that so many people confuse the two. THERE'S A HUGE DIFFERENCE in the two statements.

I loathe that name -- but as a Twin Cities resident, if they actually take the field, I'll be there.
Now I'm wondering where they'll play. I can't imagine they've managed to make a deal with the big arenas in town.Wonder what suburban rinks are big enough to at least 'pass' as a full size stadium. Anything in the 4k+ range?

Tucson already has a team in the IFL, the same league as the Rattlers, owned by the wife of Kevin Guy, who coaches the Rattlers.
Hmmm... doubt they'd go to Prescott. But you never know.

So apparently on Tuesday the AFL is going to announce a team in Arizona.......in the same metro are where the Rattlers have a 30 year head start.
Has to be Tucson. There's no way they're starting a team on short notice for the arena the Rattlers just vacated.

If they really wanted to be funny they should've done this at Four Seasons Total Landscaping in Philly.

Apparently his glasses had recording capability as well. You can see the small blue light by the top right of the glasses. Even if you get invited to sit on the sidelines, he should not be wearing CMU gear if he's not serving in an official capacity.
That's the thing. He wasn't invited. He snuck in. There's no proof it's him even as CMU doesn't know who they are, apparently. It just looks like him. And would make sense that he was there just to steal MSU signs.

I think the argument about the throwbacks is funny. it's moreso that fans feel THOSE are the teams real identities. Either from nostalgia or some specific era of the team they enjoy the most.
However, if the NFL had just kept their regular team identities and gone with one-off combos the way NCAA has done, fans probably would like them and have favorites but still keep going back and wanting the regular uniforms most of the time.
Eagles colors, Browns facemasks, Bucs orange, Pats Pat the Patriot, Seahawks 70s style, etc... nobody would question it if once a year Eagles wanted a BFBS uniform while still normally being Kelly Green. Or the midnight green.
Same with Browns. The biggest reason fans don't want and didn't like the last rebrand was because it was the 'new identity' rather than some couple-times-a-year futuristic version that fans could maybe appreciate. The same the Browns have now down with the all-white look. It's a cool break from the usual, but not something they'd want full-time.

If this is Michigan staffer Stalions on a Central Michigan sideline, both schools should be in trouble here. Not saying it's him, but that would be really strange that another school would let him on their sideline, with accreditation. He does have appear to have a play sheet as well but with the Chips losing 31-7 it apparently didn't work if it was used.
It's not believed he was there to help the Chips. H was there to steal signs from the Spartans. He was just trying to fit in. Coaches generally don't wear passes or nametags. So, somehow he convinced his way in as part of the coaching staff and then just hid in plain sight.

Champaign is more Western Indiana than Missouri. Going from the Blue and Orange of Champaign to the Cream and Crimson of Bloomington isn't that much of a shift.
The real move in 2002 would've been to play in South Bend, which Chicago has always treated like their team. But the Bears and Fighting Illini have a connection because of Halas and Grange, plus I bet it would've opened up a political can of worms to play out of state.Illinois state officials would've been apoplectic over them playing in Indiana for a year.

Just checked this out on my phone, and wow, hahahahahaha that SD is so damn tiny. I even have perfect vision and it's barely noticeable on mobile. It looks like it belongs to some team from Detroit instead. This is such a colossal brand failure. Thankfully, they still have time to fix it by 2025.
You mean... they have time to stubbornly insist that it's a great logo and identity and hope to wear their fanbase down into acceptance before 2025.

If this IS indeed the final roster of teams, wouldn't it make more sense to do a North/South division alignment?
SOUTH NORTH Arlington Canton Birmingham DC Houston Michigan Memphis New Jersey New Orleans Philadelphia San Antonio St. Louis
Probably be better (schedulingwise) to do a 3-Division format:
WEST CENTRAL EAST Arlington Birmingham Canton Houston Memphis DC New Orleans Michigan New Jersey San Antonio St. Louis Philadelphia One thing I do hope the USFL does, if indeed, they are calling the shots, is change the Renegades back to "Dallas".
City of Arlington aren't going to let that happen.

I loved the California Redwoods name from the old UFL.
If they could find a way to resurrect AAF names, the Apollos and Hotshots should be the front runners, but out of sheer hilarity bring back the Iron and put them in Erie.
Hotshots was a great name I thought with a reason behind it.

Pretty sure the 17 game season is only because Goodell sees lubing up the players for an 18 game season gradually works better than forcing it from the start.
2025 is the earliest that transition can take place and I don't doubt for a second that that is when it will happen. The players aren't against an 18 game season. They just want to be paid for an 18 game season. The NFL wants to convert the 17 to 18 game season at the same total pay as a 17 game season. While the NFLPA wants a 1/17th pay increase to their members for switching to a longer regular season.
If it were up to NFLPA, there would be no preseason games. But the NFL has enjoyed charging full price to season ticket holders for preseason games while paying the players peanuts and consumers still watching in large enough numbers and attending and buying concessions in enough numbers to still be worth it to them.

Let's put games in Germany and Mexico and England and Tokyo and Moscow and wherever else.
Just don't make them regular season games. Why do those games have to count?
Because that was one of the reasons the NFL went to 17 game season. Wanted that extra game so teams weren't giving up their 8th home game to play overseas.
