  1. Super Bowl XXXIV on-field logos: Midfield Super Bowl XXXIV Logo Endzones Teamboxes
  2. In most cases it seems the City/State is removed from the wordmarks for the Super Bowl. The only two I can think of that had the City/State were the Seahawks in XL and the Cardinals in XLIII, and Seahawks last year went without "Seattle". But it does seem more odd for the Rams in this one because "St. Louis" was more a part of their wordmark.

  5. Super Bowl XXXIII: January 31, 1999 - Pro Player Stadium, Miami, Florida Denver Broncos - 34 Atlanta Falcons - 19 Super Bowl XXXIII field without team boxes This is one of my favorite fields to have the Super Bowl logo at midfield. The Super Bowl logo was perfect for the 50 yard line, and the Falcons wordmark is classic (although rarely used during its time), plus they painted about everything they could for this one. < Super Bowl XXXII First Post Super Bowl XXXIV >
  6. I am just putting the final touches on the Super Bowl XXXIII field. Just to show a bit my process for "cleaning-up" bad resolution images here is my progression for the Super Bowl XXXIII logo. I just need to add the white boarder and put the logo on the field and SB XXXIII will be complete.
  7. Thanks! Awesome picture, I'll try to get the field done tomorrow
  8. I am currently working on SB XXXIII, but I need some help getting a good image of the Falcons wordmark if anyone can find one, or a video. What I've seen so far is very bad quality and I really can't see much. What I can't see is if the black boarder is there, if so how wide, if not I'm assuming the red boarder for each letter would then be black. Also I'm not sure about the inner red shading and "Atlanta" on the wordmark. Other then that I have everything else taken care of.

  10. Super Bowl XXXII: January 25, 1998 - Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California Green Bay Packers - 24 Denver Broncos - 31 Super Bowl XXXII field without team boxes This was a good looking field, except for the AFC logo being squeezed in the Broncos endzone. This will also be the last field I can get done before I head back to school, so it may be a week or so before I can get XXXIII done, but I will at least be able to reuse some of the Broncos logos from this field. < Super Bowl XXXI First Post Super Bowl XXXIII >

  12. Looks like I just need to bring it in so it ends about half way into the numbers, and I think I'll thin the "A" a bit, and the stars can be moved closer to the "A" as well
  13. This image makes me feel my AFC logo is a bit too wide, so I might scale it a bit smaller and make some edits to bring the width in without affecting the height. I might need some opinions on this, or some good images/video, because this is the best I can find at the moment.
  14. Super Bowl XXXI: January 26, 1997 - Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana New England Patriots - 21 Green Bay Packers - 35 I didn't intend for this one to take so long, but I had to make clean and accurate versions of the helmets, Super Bowl logo, both wordmarks, and the AFC logo. It seems for XXXII I have to redo the helmets again, because again they are completely different. < Super Bowl XXX First Post Super Bowl XXXII >
  15. I am currently working on Super Bowl XXXI. There are a lot of changes for this one. Mostly I'm working on another helmet template since this one also had unique designs. This is what I have for a template so far. I have also added some navigation at the bottom of the posts for each field to make it easier to go through all of them.

  17. I will agree they do look awkward and not like any helmet logo you see anywhere else, but that's how they where on the field for what ever reason, and it was a real pain to replicate. I think the main reason they look so odd is the width of the bars and the proportions to the helmet. From my guess the used the same outline for the shell as in the older games, and came up with a way to do the bar, instead of a whole new template for the modern helmets.
  18. Super Bowl XXX: January 28, 1996 - Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Arizona Dallas Cowboys - 27 Pittsburgh Steelers - 17 Super Bowl XXX field without team boxes I've got Super Bowl XXX on VHS (it was painful to watch) so I was able to prefect the helmets. < Super Bowl XXIX First Post Super Bowl XXXI >
  19. Just an update. I have begun work on Super Bowl XXX, and I've basically have it done. I'm just working on the helmets for the endzones. The facemask that was used wasn't anything generic that you would see for a typical helmet logo, so I've been trying my best to replicate it. This is what I have so far... I still need to make a few changes, but I've got it mostly correct. The biggest change I need to make is moving the bar that runs along the side of the helmet closer to the edge.
  20. After all the work I had to do for this field, I think I will be taking a little break. I should definitely have XXX done before I head back to school, and my goal is to get through XXXII by then.
  21. I always think of XXX the last of the "Classic" fields. Although they changed the helmets to a modern 4 bar face mask, the general look was the same as many of the past fields, unlike the many changes that took place for XXXI. Plus XXX had a classic match-up between the Steelers and Cowboys.

  23. That was one of the reasons I hate the execution of the Chargers word mark. They also cut off the white outline when they got to the break in the word mark and it just doesn't look right. And just the single stripe in the break also looks bad, they could have put a white stripe in there maybe above the blue one. I think it would have looked much better for the word mark if the end zone were blue and the word mark where white with white and yellow stripes, but then there would have been a problem with the blue helmets.
  24. Super Bowl XXIX: January 29, 1995 - Joe Robbie Stadium, Miami, Florida San Diego Chargers - 26 San Francisco 49ers - 49 Many changes for this field, most notably the NFL 75 logo at midfield. Other changes include the Super Bowl logo at the 30's (this was the same year the kickoff was moved back to the 30), no conference logo in the endzone (only other time was Super Bowl 50), and the number coloring was the same color as the conference for each teams sideline. Also the 49ers wordmark was different from past wordmarks used with a lager black outline. This field ended up being a large amount of work, mostly done cleaning up the chargers wordmark and the NFL 75 logo because I only had poor resolution pictures for those. I also had to clean up the Super Bowl logo a bit as well as make the minor changes to the 49ers wordmark. All in all, I'd say this was one of my least favorite fields before the templated logo era, although there are some good things in this field. What I disliked the most was the exicution of the Chargers wordmark and the way the NFL logo looks in the helmets. It doesn't help that this was a terrible game as well. < Super Bowl XXVIII First Post Super Bowl XXX >
