  3. I just finished it up and I think its looking nice, so I figured I'd give a preview of what I got. This ended up being a pain to clean up and took me a few attempts but in the end I think it turned out real nice. Patriots normal wordmark for the era Patriots modified wordmark for Super Bowl XX
  4. The points at the top corners (SB XVIII on top compared to SB XIX on bottom)
  5. Super Bowl XIX: January 20, 1985 - Stanford Stadium, Stanford, California Miami Dolphins - 16 San Francisco 49ers - 38 There was a slight change in the NFL logo with the caps being removed from this point on. < Super Bowl XVIII First Post Super Bowl XX >
  6. Made the necessary changes: And just an update, I'm going to try to get Super Bowl XX done by Friday before I leave for a week or so. Right now I have XIX just about done, might need to make a few minor changes. For XX I just need to make a clean version of the Patriots wordmark used in that game.
  7. "I don't have a link, I was going to post a picture I saw in an old Super Bowl book that I have, but I couldn't figure out how to post the picture. If you don't mind giving me your email address (I will understand if you don't) I will send you the picture." I'll send you my email in a personal conversation. If you have the image on your computer or phone you can get a Photobucket account and upload it there and then copy the image url. Not sure if thats your problem, but just a thought.
  8. I've always had a hard time finding a large paint-friendly NFL field template that was to scale, so I made one. The full size and most up to date version can be copied from this link: http://cisprod.clari...IELD/field.html The field is 9376 x 5728 pixels, which is to a scale of 1px=.5inches. So a line width of 4in on an NFL field works out to be 8px on the template. I also added a feature that allows for easy fill around numbers by making the inside white and an outside border rgb 250x250x250 so that from a distance the numbers look all white, but they can have an easy border fill. Also the grass is different colors between each yard line allowing for an easy fill for differently shaded grass. Here is a link to a post with an example of multiple grass shades: http://boards.sports...eted/?p=2259231 I hope this is useful to someone.
  9. Do you have a link to the picture, I've been having a hard time seeing a difference in the grass shades from this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptBLyeK0HDQ
  10. I'll get working on the multiple grass shades for the Super Bowl XVIII field. And here are some posibilities for maroon Redskins endzones if they were to make it to a Super Bowl in the near future. I would think the last one would be the most likely based off of last years Super Bowl, and to me I think it looks the best.

  12. Super Bowl XVIII: January 22, 1984 - Tampa Stadium, Tampa, Florida Washington (Commanders) - 9 Los Angeles Raiders - 38 < Super Bowl XVII First Post Super Bowl XIX >
  13. Super Bowl XVII on-field logos: Midfield Super Bowl XVII Logo Endzones
  14. Super Bowl XVII: January 30, 1983 - Rose Bowl Stadium, Pasadena, California Miami Dolphins - 17 Washington (Commanders) - 27 < Super Bowl XVI First Post Super Bowl XVIII >

  16. The one I've really been wanting to do was oilers buccaneers for Super Bowl XIV. Should be interesting.
  17. I hope you don't mind, but I think this may have been the field had Dallas beaten San Francisco in Candlestick (I just plugged in their endzone markings from SB XIII, I don't think it would've changed much [if at all] 3 years later). Looks good. One of the things I was thinking about doing after I got through all the fields was doing an alternate version for each with the teams that lost in the conference championships, since they're always interesting to look at.
  18. Numbers are good, I made a small change to the 4. Bengals wordmark was thinned by 10%, and I changed the footballs a small bit.
  19. I'm not seeing the gap on the 5 And the 4 is looking like the same height as the 0 And this is the best shot i could see of the 3 which is inconclusive because of the angle Do you have any better images?
  20. To me it did look like it was buched up based on that image, but I'll go back and find a better image and adjust the wordmark accordingly, or even take a look at what they used in XXIII
  21. And to any who are interested, I have an NFL field template (modern) here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/99132-nfl-field-template/?p=2253747
  22. Super Bowl XVI: January 24, 1982 - Pontiac Silver Dome, Pontiac, Michigan San Francisco 49ers - 26 Cincinnati Bengals - 21 < Super Bowl XV First Post Super Bowl XVII >
  23. Here is an alternate Eagles helmet with the wings on both.
  24. Did you hand draw the "Wings" on the Eagles helmet. Or did you find a really good.gif or .png someware? I think a while ago on my first attempt at the field I had the eagles current wing, and then went back and traced over the outline of it to get something close to what I have now. I might have just copied the helmet I had from SBXXXIX because you can see a different color between the bars. (Attempt 2) But this wasn't very clean so I enlarged it and completely got rid of anything I didn't get erased from the copy of the modern wing. (Attempt 3) Then I moved the wing up a bit and made some minor changes to reflect what was used on the field. (Current)
