Underrated?

It's tough to be underrated in the 21st century exposure landscape... so I'll just put this here:

Only the Blue Jays have a nicer Toronto logo & this one doesn't get appreciated enough because MLS unis are ad logo'd.

Overrated?

Reds & now Indians C's. Sorry, those generic C's do not jive for me. Chicago Bears' logo at least fits perfectly for their uniform & helmet.

a. The Wild logo - it's when you see the bear head is when your mind blows, not the other way around!?

b. Dolphins' new logo is now underrated imo. The only thing they could change is the wordmark, needs caps lock for the NFL. Otherwise, I love the Dolphins' new branding & unis. They're sleeker, easier on the eyes, & more professional... all without scoffing at their heritage.

c. Cav's 90's unis are underrated by far. Maybe since it was a Mark Price era & not an LBJ superstar one... gets overlooked.

Minnesota and Columbus have banners for all the teams in the rafters. I think Winnipeg has them in the lobby. Who are the others?

SD Chargers' Qualcomm Stadium does that for all NFL teams. Not sure if that's all the time or whatever.

I miss the days at Toronto's Exhibition Stadium when AL East & AL West team banners were hung on the LF & RF walls respectively... ordered to match the division standings.

Too many teams have Red as their primary colors.

Agreed. Though I give TFC a pass for multiple reasons...

- Raptors are the only other Toronto club featuring red & that may change soon,

- TFC's unofficial nickname are Reds, the unis are very popular with Liverpool-ManU-Arsenal among others of which many TFC fans are supporters of; it makes the team feel official,

- Canada, we can get away with it better for Canadian branding.

I didn't like these when they opened in Vancouver this wkend. The red is way too deep without let-up, coupled with the same shorts.

As stated in the link, the move of the Icecaps to Winnipeg could be temporary until a new facility is found (ie. Pretty much what we all assume the Sharks are doing with the AHL Sharks in SJ)

As for Winnipeg, is it really a great idea to have 2 pro hockey teams in that one city?? They should look west to Brandon/Saskatoon/Regina yes? East to Thunder Bay perhaps?

As do I. It's a nice way of honouring the record without being ostentatious (i.e. giving it its own banner, which I know plenty of teams would have done).

As a Patriots fan, I think their 16-0 banner is a reach & should be removed some year. It's highlighting failure for a team that expects to win the final game.

Maybe if they had a chain of 7-9 win seasons & it was something special, then perhaps it'd be nice. As it is, it's like a scab lols.

That mon frere is a pipe dream, so I'll sub Las Vegas for us there. I wouldn't worry about LV's time zone either, the city's work/business clock really isn't a thing.

However, yes, both Florida & Phoenix need to be put out of OUR misery. Dead weight weakens the league.

Maybe Qatar won't be around in 2022

There was rumors of MLS shortening its schedue. Qatar World Cup year would be a great time to try that out, if it actually happens.

MLS will do anything for this because it can't afford to screw Team USA for any World Cup.

I don't know how (un)popular or not... I hate every single Ottawa Senators jersey except their O's & expansion blacks.

The way I see it, if an 8yr old can't draw your NHL logo, it's a bad NHL logo.

What is that thing on the right supposed to be? What a hysterical disaster of a logo. 3/4 side profile faces should not be logos.

I think the Oakland Raiders have the most boring identity in professional sports and I wouldn't have a problem at all if they made big changes to their identity. Their logo is incredibly outdated (especially the Raider head) and their jerseys are absolutely dull (they're home jerseys are practically black t-shirts with duct tape number font). I still like the silver and black color scheme, however and wish for them to never change that.

Logo could use a mild refresh/sharpening... yet the Raiders whites might be the nicest unis on the planet. No hyperbole.

Let them have their home blacks, they had dibs decades & decades ago.

I'd like to see the NFL adopt inter conference rivalry games... either the added 17th game on top of status quo, or include one NFC & one inter divisional AFC yearly matchup, thereby ceasing the 2 conference seeding games they have now.

Having some of the best rivalries in August every year is dumb.

btw I'm fine with 17 games if they're smart enough to gift 2x bye weeks per team. What does the NFL care, it's a tv league & 19 weeks is 19 weeks.

4-8x gamers, probably on the 4 side, between clubs. That'd be sick.

NHL seems to be the only league willing to give fans a bunch of those a season... always have. So what if they're baseball series, it's one travel date.

NBA should maybe try the new NHL playoff format, giving us 4 division playoff rivalry series each season. I don't care if the West is king... changing that up would all but labelling the East a AAA conference.

There's no way a top-down full league playoff will happen so you can forget it... erasing regionally balanced playoff tv ratings simply will never happen.

Given how short his stint was, that's gotta be an all-timer.

Though I was hoping the Brodeur-to-Columbus rumours were true so we could get that interesting pair-up.

I've thought he looks much younger in those nice Blues unis. Word is he stuck around to hit the round # 700 wins; he's left at 691.
