  1. I’m more surprised Dom Capers is alive because I remember him as the old man who coached the Panthers and that was 25 years ago.

Apparently he was the coach when he was in his late 40s-early 50s and 72 now. Guy must age like milk.

  2. There's also the whole "most people who even had Internet in 2001 were using dialup so streaming was something out of scifi" so thus TV was far more dominant and having an average audience of 1-2  5-6 million would be a death sentence. For the current media environment? 1-2 million on average is pretty good for football that isn't college or the NFL.

Instead, it seems pretty clear that the leagues are scheduled this way to to fill gaps on the TV schedule so there's always professional football going on during the entirety of the NFL offseason.

The raison d’etre of these leagues basically being filler for the NFL is pretty funny to me.

Can't do that--it would cost too many people too many fantasy points...

Then they can make defensive stats more prominent and people want to hear about another person’s fantasy football team as much as they want to hear about their sex life: If they’re interested in it at all, there’s a problem.

I have no clue what you're implying, but Maybe don't bring up Boston sports in the first place if you can't stand people talking about it.

    Just a thought.

You're the one who brought up how "at least the Pats and their fanbase weren't this arrogant" as if we're supposed to pretend the last two decades didn't happen no matter how much we wish we could. Of course I'm going to defend my fanbase, especially from such a patently ludicrous charge. Other people clowned on you, you doubled and tripled down and now everyone is taking the piss.

Was it the right call? Sure, doesn't change the fact that they've let those kinds of holds go before.  The fact that after a game like that, it's a such a soft penalty the decided the game is what sucks. If it was a more blentent holding call, then that would at least be more fair. Even Fox was questioning it.

Point is, Is that how you wanted it to end?

Or did you want to see Hurts make 1 final drive with about a minute left to tie or win the game?

Such a good game like that had a wet fart of an ending. Nevermind who won. to end it like that is just so disappointing.

I think you should either touch grass or smoke it.

If I’m a chiefs fan I’m defiantly ignoring it and celebrating it in a strip mall parking lot or whatever they do, but the reality is that’s a tainted win and the Chiefs should be ashamed.

We all know goddamn well that if the Eagles benefited, you wouldn’t be calling out anything. Quit being a sore loser.
