  1. So what would happen if the NHL award a 32nd team in the West to Seattle?.
  2. Theorically the Komets would be an affiliate of the Blues and the Wolves, but there is some major problems going on though. Because there's a portion of the roster who wants the team independently, without NHL/AHL affiliation, but there's also someother players in the team who has contracts with the Wolves and defends an affiliation with the Blues. The anti-players union sentiments may be bigger than we think for the people of Fort Wayne, we don't know what's going to happen up next for the Komets. The Golden Knights hasn't so far an AHL/ECHL affiliate. The AHL affiliate, in my humble opinion, would be Reno, because it would be closer from Vegas. And we don't know which city will become a home for a Golden Knights' ECHL affiliate, probably also we don't know that it would be in the West or in the East.
  3. It would be a good or a bad idea the Fort Wayne Komets getting affiliated with the Vegas Golden Knights Hockey Club?.
  4. I don't understand why the Fort Wayne Komets (ECHL) is not affiliated with an NHL team. The Komets would be affiliated with the St. Louis Blues.
  5. Forget what I said. I think that the Golden Knights will have an affiliate in Reno or Salt Lake City or Fresno, and that the Wolves would remain affiliated with the Blues.
  6. The St. Louis Blues needs a new AHL affiliate because the Chicago Wolves will become affiliated with the Golden Knights. I think the most probable content would be Hamilton.
  7. If the Hurricanes relocate to Quebec City in a foreseeable future, I think that there would be an anti-climax effect similar to the exit of the old Cleveland Browns to Baltimore where it became the Ravens, and then there would be former Canes players (i.e. Rod Brind'Amour) appealing to commissioner Bettman to the Canes becoming the NHL's 32nd team, but this time an expansion team.
  8. What would happen if the NHL would select eight new teams and then the league would increase to 40, those potential teams would be: Atlanta Thrashers (based in Atlanta, Georgia) Baltimore Skipjacks (based in Baltimore, Maryland) Capitanes de Puerto Rico (based in San Juan, Puerto Rico) Cincinnati Stingers (based in Cincinnati, Ohio) Guerreros de México (based in Mexico City, Mexico) Hamilton Tigers (based in Hamilton, Ontario) Houston Aeros (based in Houston, Texas) Indianapolis Racers (based in Indianapolis, Indiana) Kansas City Scouts (based in Kansas City, Missouri) Oakland Seals (based in Oakland, California) Portland Lumberjacks (based in Portland, Oregon) Quebec Nordiques (based in Quebec City, Quebec) Saskatoon Ice (based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) Seattle Metropolitans (based in Seattle, Washington) This is my point of view. And also, I'm not doing concepts, but we're making discussions about this. How your point of views about this.
  9. There has been obviously an unnecessary personal rivalry between Skip and Troy. They both work on Fox Sports. Why Skip is trying to say that Troy is gay?. Troy's not gay. Troy's straight.
  10. Anaheim Ducks (Prime Ticket): Orange County, San Bernardino County (exclusive rights), Riverside County, Southern California (except Imperial, San Luis Obispo and Kern counties), Southern Nevada (until the 2016/17 season) Arizona Coyotes (Fox Sports Arizona): Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Imperial County Dallas Stars (Fox Sports Southwest): Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana
  11. I hope that CSN Northwest will take over regional Portland TImbers broadcasts if ROOT Northwest won't renew with them in a foreseeable future.
  12. This NHL blackout map (of 2013) will change next year with the arrival of the Vegas Golden Knights. Ducks, Kings and Coyotes games may be blacked out in all of Nevada.
  13. I was pretty devastated by Craig Sager's passing at 65. Such a memorable sports reporter and such an incredible professional. #ThankYouSager
  14. Many and many people around U.S. and Canada are sick and tired of the National Hockey League's Blackout Policy. This is the biggest problem where fans from all 30 NHL teams (31 NHL teams starting in 2017-18) can't watch their teams' games outside of their team markets. Many fans turn to NHL.tv or NHL Center/Centre Ice to watch the out-of-market broadcasts of their favorite NHL teams. We should get really rid of the NHL blackout policy?. We should make a pressure the NHL to end this horrific and meaningless blackout policy?. The answer for both the questions is: YES!. And you?. What do you think?.
  15. Absolutely. But when 2021 arrives, This would be the great talk.
  16. @Eric Westhaver

Good afternoon. My name is Marcos Flamengo.

Would you please make the concepts of 9 CFL teams: Sherbrooke Concordes, Saint John Irish, Saskatoon Miners, Regina Roughriders (updated version of the Saskatchewan Roughriders), Langford 51s, Fraser Engineers, Burnaby Colonels, Thunder Bay Railways and Kamloops Spartans.

The colors of the Sherbrook Concordes would be navy blue, red and black.

The colors of the Saint John Irish would be green, baby blue, yellow and silver.

The colors of the Saskatoon Miners would be gold, black and brown.

The colors of the Regina Roughriders would be the same of what is the Saskatchewan Roughriders today: green and white.

The colors of the Langfords 51s would be black, white, navy, selective yellow and red, the colors of the flag of Langford.

The colors of the Fraser Engineers would be free speech red, fountain blue and creamy.

The colors of the Kamloops Spartans would be hokey pokey and caribbean green

The colors of the Burnaby Colonels would be cardinal, white and gold

The colors of the Thunder Bay Railways would be confetti and black

This is your mission, should you choose to accept it.

    Thank you.

  17. Exactly. But we don't know who's going to take over NHL rights when NBC contract expires after the 2021 SCF. I don't know if it would be ESPN/ABC or FOX/FS1 or CBS, but probably NBC wouldn't be ruled out to gain a new multi-year contract in the U.S.
  18. From the '81 SCF until the '94 SCF, local networks were allowed to broadcast the games. However, Mr. Comissioner Gary Bettman benefited the national television exclusivity of the Stanley Cup starting a year later in '95. Seriously, this isn't fair and it undermines regional sports networks that still can do pre-game and post-game coverages of the Stanley Cup playoff games but aren't allowed to broadcast live playoff games from second round onwards. It is unfair to see that regional sports networks aren't allowed to broadcast playoff games from second round onwards on local television because the teams' TV announcers calls the games on radio, and honestly, I don't know which year the national exclusivity will end. But I hope that this American coverage policy that benefits national exclusivity to the Stanley Cup will end it sooner or later!. What do you think?.
  19. I didn't present myself. My name is Marcos Flamengo. And I love sports logos and media. We need to know which regional markets serves all the NHL teams on local television?. The following NHL teams are: Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flames, Carolina Hurricanes, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets and Washington Capitals. Thank you.
  20. @CHRIS87

Good afternoon. I just did it sign up the forum.

And I didn't present myself. My name is Marcos Marcelino dos Santos.

Best known as Marcos Flamengo. Flamengo just because i'm just a fan of the most popular Brazilian soccer club. I always loved sports, and I always loved logo designs and concepts. I also like to give ideas to the forum users for logo concepts of many real and fictional sports leagues around the world.
