I think also, the fact that this time of the year is also rain season in California as well - and we have seen NASCAR have trouble with rain races before. But I'm in agreement with you, I'd love to see Sonoma earlier in the schedule.

Yep, exactly. I live in LA so I can't speak for the Bay Area but it's been raining nearly every weekend here for the past month or so. Much less likely to rain in the summer.

I don't know why they can't race at Sonoma when it's bright and green.

From what I've heard, it has to do with fan amenities - during the spring the area is marshy and would make tailgating/navigating the track tough. I would love to see Sonoma as part of the West Coast swing, personally.

  3. Unfortunately the 49ers redesign comes across as change for change's sake and I don't think it adds to the look at all, especially the use of black, which is entirely superfluous. I don't think the Niners needed any changes, but the changes that were made don't feel particularly necessary. If you're going to change them, I'd like to see a more bold look.

The changes to Arizona's color scheme makes it better. I'd still like to see the sleeve and pants stripe match.

  4. I wish they had done this reconfig to Texas instead of Atlanta. At the bare minimum it would be better than what Texas puts on now. But this type of racing is stretched to its absolute limit with 6 races, there's no need for even more.

  5. Absolutely fantastic. Easily one of the best sets in the NBA. It's very Twins, but I think the Twins have the best set in MLB so that's a good thing. I agree with some of the things said, the wordmarks should be white on the colored jerseys instead of the numbers, more powder blue would be great, the compass is probably one element too many in the primary, but on the whole, this is such a massive upgrade that I'm more than willing to overlook the minor errors. Fantastic work from Doubleday and Cartwight & Wolff.

  6. I mostly like the changes you've made here. The sleeve stripes are really cool but I'm not super feeling the pants stripe. I wish they were just the sleeve stripes but on the pants. I think the secondary logo isn't really necessary either. I'm not sure why you kept the yellow beak when you're already adding that copper color - maybe just replacing the beak would be good? The number font is fine, but I think a block font would be better. The unique collar shape beneath the NFL logo is a nice touch. I'm looking forward to seeing more teams!

  7. I don't know what the solution is for FOX but something has got to change. I find myself watching races on mute because of how obnoxious their broadcast is. It's mostly Clint's fault, although their camerawork and director also needs to step it up. Onboard shots are cool, but they can't be the main way the audience watches the race. Wider shots that show more of the action are necessary.

  8. The 5 and 48 look great, the 9 is really nice aside from the UniFirst green in the number, and the 24 looks embarrassing. Yuck.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw a picture of them in real life. They all look great.

  9. I'm actually disappointed to see the Jets change to the Sack Exchange set. I think those are boring while the current uniforms are a really nice, modern set that they tanked by wearing bad combinations. Green/white/green and White/green/white looked great. The black accents were meh and the wordmark didn't need to be so big but I loved the stripes and the green helmet was fantastic. Easily the Jets' best look when worn correctly.

  10. An excellent kit. The blue back adds a ton, I wonder if they'll keep the white numbers from the old home kit or go with black to match the stripes and sponsor logo. I only wish they had kept blue socks instead of going to white.
