  1. For those wondering what I did here, I've combined the 2020 rebrand with the classic royal blue and give it a touch up there... for those that were wondering where the black alts are, they exist.
  2. Normally I hate having to follow trends but considering the recent thread conclusion of @XrysD's USFL merger thread, I figured I try to do his what if the AFL didn't exist thread.... now I will tend to do things different, in my eyes the AFL team managed to find their way into the NFL but they went through the WFL to do so which makes things interesting per say and certain teams are going to exist in the place of the actual teams that did take place... for example there won't be any New York Stars but other teams do find a way. In establishing this version of a AFL-less NFL... certain teams and certain dynamics are iron-clad which means no Cowboys facing off against their enemies of the Eagles, Washington and the NY Giants, however did you know there was one team those three had a preference to play against because it fit into their schedules and travel costs were easy. And so to begin another dynamic topic, instead of taking a bold move, we begin with something safe. BALTIMORE COLTS To describe the Colts as safe.... we have to address the elephant in the room, Jim Irsay never took the team out of Baltimore during that faithful night... the authorities got wind of what he was doing and prevented the moving trucks from leaving the training facilities thus the law that prevented teams from leaving the city would of included the Colts and without the Colts leaving Baltimore, the CFL never did expand there and never established the Stallions that would of gone on to become the Allouettes. With the Colts, the Eagles, Washington and the Giants established in their own grouping, the Cowboys never did force the Colts into the AFL.
  3. MONMOUTH HAWKS With this inclusion, the Inner division of the Apple conference is done. Fordham Hofstra Iona LIU Manhatten Monmouth NJIT NYU Saint Peters Seton Hall St John's Stony Hill
  4. Actually there was one concept I did do but I wasn't sure if it would of worked. So back to when Oilers moved to Tennessee, there was that poll that included a certain team. Wasn't sure if the Copperheads would of been a perfect inclusion to the project but I did it anyway.... the scheme was unique enough.
  5. And now in conclusion, the helmets. First the NFC. East Central South West And now the AFC. East Central South West
  6. and 10 days later... this thread reaches 40 teams with the team that has fallen from grace the most. DALLAS COWBOYS Man... time to tell a tale that sent this organisation back 25 years and essentially sent a father and son to jail for major tax fraud and sent a coach into the blacklist who then died in prison himself.... the idea of the Hershel Walker trade was that Jimmy Johnson would essentially cut players included order to get compulsary picks and from those picks that Cowboys would draft those that would define their 3 years in the 90's as AMERICA'S TEAM. However the reverse happened and the practice was considered illegal... well that and Hershel Walker became the Bobby Bonilla of Football, from that debacle came the eventual tax fraud that brought down Jerry Jones and his crooked family.... the multiple violations that the team suffered became of Jimmy Johnson's actions which caused him to be blacklisted from everything football.... even college football. The team spent 25 years paying off Hershel Walker's massive contract which affected their coffers and in the process have multiple losing seasons which largely affected the NFL's future profits including thanksgiving games which no one wanted to watch a :censored:ty Cowboys team or a :censored:ty Lions team. They however did win the 1993 Super Bowl against the Bills but lost the 1992 NFC championship game to the Eagles and then stupidly watched Donald Trump's Generals beat them to the NFC championship game and to the big prize of the 1995 win over the Steelers.
  7. It hasn't died, i've been busy with other threads as you might of seen.
  8. We are now at team 39 of this thread since this will be the last AFC team and there is a team remaining that wore these and won 4 championships back to back but then after a terrible period of no uniforms and linked to Toronto of all things, in reality they reverted to White on Blue on White and thus they were able to take back their looks. In this continunity though, the Red never retired. BUFFALO BILLS Doing to the Red Helmets what current Buffalo does to their White Helmets.... I figured I would try and modernise their classic look and so Red/Blue/Blue became the new home whilst Red/White/White is the new road whilst White/Red/Red becomes the new Alt. Just like in real life there is a Bills Mafia.
  9. Now we wrap up this bonus look.... to a look that is in the current. SA Riders prides itself as Texas's number 1 team and in the 2000s they change to their current look. A set so good that it doesn't need an alt.
  10. Imagine if the greatest trade happened and cutting players was illegal? Wasn’t just Jerry…. Jimmy Johnson was also disgraced.
  11. Well they survived 1992, in fact despite most of the league making fun of their name and uniforms... San Antonio with a average record survived the season with the fans arriving in dromes ensuring that the Alamo Dome owners didn't kick them out, in fact they was able to secure a moderate loan to help pay for the fees ensuring that the Riders stayed in San Antonio for a while. 1996 follows up with a slight uniform change now that they have been established against the likes of most Southern NFL teams including the Stallions, the Panthers, the Saints, the Falcons, the Bucs, the Oilers, the Titans and the Wranglers. The Riders do have one thing going for them..... the Dallas Cowboys eternally hating them for putting Jerry Jones in prison for major tax fraud.
  12. And so after an hour of rebranding I now present to you a Brucie Bonus.... a revisit to San Antonio. ---- The Gunslingers in 1992 were in absolute dire straights, bad seasons back to back and with the threat of being kicked out of the Alamo Dome forced the owner of the team to essentially throw the towel to the NFL and say I'm done and essentially disappeared into the wilderness. The organisation having to content a relocation from Oakland to Charlotte now had to deal with a team without an owner... they had to work fast and reluctantly they did come up with a solution... two teams being forced out of the Alamo Dome meant that they had to merge into one organisation and able to stave off the upcoming season. The kicker is that the other team plays in the WLAF and they were written off so the Gunslingers decided to use the opportunity to rebrand themselves as the WLAF team and play on in the South. So please welcome back: THE SAN ANTONIO.... RIDERS!!! The Riders are a perfect rebrand for a terrible team... the look is fresh, it's not just green, blue and white anymore and let's be honest the idea was good when I looked at what I did for the Slingers and saw elements of the Riders and so this is the new San Antonio. Will they survive 1992?
  13. Well if there's a rebrand there is one team I do have in mind that technically would count as a legacy team.
  14. Because I don't see the Gunslingers as a San Antonio team if you get what I mean.... in fact not much you could do with the team actually apart from darkening colours.... it was probably the difficult team to essentially DO.
  15. Ok so the new Seawolves look is just lovely.
  16. So now before the last two teams are unveiled.... Bills and Cowboys obviously. I do have a possible revisit to the Gunslingers in mind.
  17. Thank you, the idea was because of Seattle's early NIKEification, I wanted to see if it can work with the Bulls which it did... then sticking with a lighter silver then going with Burgundy which was a good idea since Burgundy's a better Maroon and then seeing what I could do with the Orange. The Orange going from what it was before and then discovering the Honeydew Orange which worked but then I didn't want to go into Creamsicle territory so that's how I found the Vermillion Orange which is reddish. The difficulty of course was recreating the original Bulls set, that was the hardest part to do.
