  1.   As a Zoomer born after the Oilers move, I would love to see Houston get their colors back. It's like if Minnesota had an NFL team without purple and gold. We're still salty about losing the Northstars tothepoint that the reverse retros are the most popular wild thing I see so I totally get it. Bring back love ya blue

Per Google maps its 7 hours 40 minutes from KC to Chicago and 8 hours 10 minutes from Buffalo to the Windy City, why not Solider Field! Both teams play outdoors so it's not like they'd force a dome team to play outside.

Because Soldier field low-key sucks and choosing a stadium that the team is actively trying leave would be a weird look. A more modern dome makes the most sense to me. Personally I love Lucas Oil stadium so I'm hoping it's held there

  3. I think stencil works for the Steelers and Pack since they've been using it for awhile and it fits into the blue collar origin of their names. I don't like the commies use of it, mainly because they are such a new identity and it just doesn't fit the brand

South Dakota State has been wearing white helmets during this playoff run.

Which I hate. Jacks gotta wear blue helmets or it's just weird. If we lose to NDSU after we won the marker this year, I'll blame the helmets in hopes it catches on and the team trashes them.

This could have been an amazing uniform match up, but the damn helmets. Smh

  5. All the dumbass gopher fans that are mad at the extension not realizing he's literally our best coach since the 60s. We beat the Badgers back to back for the first time in my life. Do we have headscratching losses each year? Yeah. Is it better than the alternative with pretty much any other coach we could get? Hell :censored:ing yes. I'll take the goofy mother:censored:er with no sense of uniform style over another potential Brewster any day. We finished no. 10 in 2019, good enough to make it to the playoffs now. That was unthinkable a decade ago.

  6. After seeing USC get :censored: stomped by a physical brand of football, I cannot wait for them to face off against highly physical teams in below freezing temps. I can't wait to see 260 lbs farm boy TE who's bench is measured in tractor tires break 5 tackles as Lincoln Riley looks on in bewilderment. The LA schools have no place in the BIG and I hope they fail for leaving the PAC to die

All the inserts and piping gives it an early 2000s feel, which based on when they were founded wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

  8. If I had a bezos-esque fortune I would sponsor all the bowl games and just give them a noncorporate name. The Fiesta and Peach Bowl don't need PS4 and Chick-fil-A on their branding. If lower ranked bowls want to he taken seriously and treated like they matter, slapping bad boyz lawnmowers to the front of it and playing in the worst baseball stadium isn't the way to do it.

I'd also move a bowl to US Bank stadium and call it the "Northstar Bowl" with a B10 and MAC tie in

That this apparently hasn't been the case, despite still being the nation's third fastest-growing metro area, is kind of fascinating.

I know people born in Arizona that consider themselves Minnesotan, Wisconsinite, or from Chicago because their parents are from there and they support the Vikings/Packers/Bears/ect. instead of the home team. Arizona has less state pride than Iowa and the Dakotas. City pride for Phoenix is mostly constrained to ":censored: Tucson." Idk if it's transplant markets or if AZ/Phoenix area is just uniquely unable to garner civic pride. Either way it's weird

I feel your pain, but it's very wishful thinking to assume, in the event the D-Backs move, that you'll be anywhere near the top of the list for another team. Gary "Saguaro" Bettman isn't the commissioner of MLB, Rob freaking Manfred is.

Good thing I'm leaving this state after graduation (fingers crossed), hopefully for a market that gives a :censored: about sports all the time, not just when their teams are in the finals. My freshman year at ASU I saw maybe a handful of people wearing Suns gear, now I see people wearing Suns stuff and hyping up the team constantly. Growing up I saw people wearing Vikings and Twins stuff even when we were dog :censored:. Worst fairweather fans I've ever seen. You could take all 4 teams away from the valley and barely anyone would blink. Keep the Suns and Cards, ship the Dbacks and Coyotes away. It's what needs to happen /endrant

EDIT: In all fairness I am a transplant. But of the native Arizonans I have as friends: over half don't give a :censored: about sports at all (like, more than just the average amount of people not being into sports). The ones that do care are split between other teams and AZ teams. Not a good sign for half of the Arizonans aged 18-22 I know to not care about home teams

Phoenix Serpientes, Serps for short, would have been great from the outset. The only problem is that it may have pissed off Anglo Arizonans, but you know what, fine.

As an Anglo Arizonan (originally from the Midwest but I've spent my entire short adult life here), not enough people care about the D-Backs. If anything a Spanish name would have probably made Anglo Arizonans more likely to keep following the team for the faux-thentic Mexican culture that all the suburban Scottsdale moms that took 10th grade Spanish seem to love more than their kids. And it might have actually won over more Hispanic fans instead of the community being split almost 55/45 in favor of the Dodgers. I can't wait for this team to move to Vegas so we can get a team with a better name down here. 2001 is a literal lifetime away for people like me, and the amount of people my age wearing D-Backs stuff is outweighed by people that wear Cubs/Dodgers/Whitesox/Angels/Twins/Brewers ect. Unless the D-Backs turn it around, they're dead in their own market
