I think Carolina’s white uni is actually their best. I don’t mind them wearing it a lot.

Well, that settles it.
We are no longer allowed to talk about sports uniforms on a sports uniform forum.
Its been a real fun ride guys. Sad to see it end 🫡
Lol come on man.
I even specified it’s not just discussing uniforms. That’s obviously the point of this forum. Just the language people use, like getting ENRAGED that teams wear white at home. Saying :censored: is UNACCEPTABLE, and then even personally insulting the players for their quotes about liking their own uniforms. I like discussing uniforms, I have positive and negative opinions on different uniforms, but I don’t get like, personally offended by them lol

No discussing what grown men are wearing for their sports games
Ah yeah, I said “getting enraged,” not “discussing.”

White at home for any team that’s not facing the Cowboys enrages me and is inexcusable regardless of your location. Show off your colors and have some damn pride in your team.
Do you feel this way about baseball?
Or hockey and basketball, when it was more standard for WAH?Maybe, just maybe, teams wear WAH because they just…want to? Crazy thought, I know.
y’all are crazy, getting “enraged” over what grown men are wearing for their sports games lol

Is the Wild's current set even a faux back look? They might not be 2000s WILD but I also don't find them to be retro or faux back whatsoever.
I said this earlier and I'll say it again, i think its the wheat/off-white color, not the design, that might give people that impression.
Honestly, I have never dug the name "Wild" but the less they feed into the 2000s vibe, the more I view it as "wilderness" vs tacky. Taming the other elements of the uniform has let the logo shine a bit more. IDK, their branding has grown on me since losing the 00s vibe.
Agreed on the Wild name. I've always liked it.
Would be way different if they were the Minneapolis Wild, in which case I'd look at it like the 90s xTrEmE vibe. But the state moniker along with their whole identity gives me more of a "Minnesota Wildlife/Wilderness" vibe that really works for me.

Fully anticipating the Rams to have new white pants to go with the white jerseys.

All of these changes with alternate helmets and uniforms are exciting, and they give us content to talk about. They justify having a message board to discuss sports uniforms. I dig it.

The Dolphin desperately needs a helmet. Unless you just hate fun.
Would be cool if the Dolphin logo gets to use an alternate helmet itself for 3 games a year.

Loving all the meltdowns in here.
Most of these are fine. Commanders, Saints, and Jets are all pretty dumb but I'm fine with the rest of them.
Would've been great if the Cardinals rebranded this year and leaned into their history with a brown faux-leather helmet.

It is a trim color, and they used to wear a black jersey with a GREEN helmet and WHITE pants, which was tolerable for a game. Now somehow all three elements are black, and it will surely be worn at least twice.
So are the GREEN helmets GFGS and the WHITE pants WFWS?
what he’s getting at is that BFBS is an overused and often incorrectly used term. You’re just being obtuse if you can’t see the difference between a black Eagles uniform and the black on the Lakers uniforms.

The Jets are already stealthy. No one ever notices them.

Is there any sort of 5-year rule for helmets, like jerseys have? Or is it a free for all like pants and socks?

I feel like I should automatically hate flat gold + metallic gold, but I don't. I love how Minnesota does it, and I don't hate how GT is doing it.
The truncated stripe is so dumb though.

You did bring something from another thread into this one. You don't speak for everyone, so don't use absolutes like "no one." If you're offended by someone on the internet wishing obviously absurd levels of harm on others, then just ignore it. You're not a mod, you're not the moral compass of the board, and "read the room"? LOL. Hi Kettle.
If you have a problem and would like to discuss further, I recommend reaching out on DM so I can ignore you there. Any more in this thread is likely to get a mod warning, which neither of us need.
ohhhhh my god lol
seriously dude, read the room.

Whenever they eventually rebrand, there's no way they don't include at least a little copper.

Literally no one was offended.
I was accused of bashing people for their opinions, by expressing my own.
People felt bashed. Then I got accused of being sensitive. The whole “You got a lot to learn about this place, kid” macho man act around here is very cringe.

Yeesh.
It means that one of the most tired tropes here is "guy who likes something most people don't and accuses everyone else of being wrong or group think."
Like what you like but bashing the majority for not liking what you like is silly.
Okay that doesn't really answer my question, but...
Sometimes I wonder if people let their idea of what a team's uniform "should" look interfere with a look that's objectively good. I think the Lions black alt looked good. I think "BFBS," while certainly applicable in a lot of cases, gets way overused here. The reason I'm saying this at all, the reason I think it is of note, is that it is obviously an unpopular opinion around here.
I didn't think what I said was that offensive, I thought all the skin was thick around here. I'm so sorry to disrupt the natural order.

The Saints helmet is by far the worst of all the alternates, IMO. Blatant Seahawks ripoff, and paired with a retro uniform? What are they even going for?
