    Jesus man, no lmao. It means if you have an opinion about a uniform/logo and it’s unpopular, just accept that it’s unpopular. Don’t get all defensive that others do not share your opinion.

    For example: I happen to really like the Cowboys white uniforms, despite the mismatched blues, silvers and all. I think it’s a top 5 iconic look and I think the navy uniforms are vastly overrated.

    However, I know this is not an opinion shared by the majority so I don’t get defensive with others express that.

    The entire point of my post was to point out that my opinion is unpopular.

    I'm sorry if I hurt any feelings? I don't see how explicitly saying HEY GUYS MY OPINION IS UNPOPULAR makes any sort of difference but hey.

    You posted a clearly unpopular opinion then acted like everyone else was wrong for not agreeing with you. Knowing that your opinion is in the minority and owning it is accepting that it's in the minority and not the "objectively correct" opinion.

    For example:

    Baltimore+Ravens+Purple+on+Gold+2015.jpg?format=750w

    I love these jerseys and especially pants. Don't know why, most people hate them, but they've always worked for me.

    I expressed an unpopular opinion that I hold, explained why, and acknowledged that I was in the minority. Give it a try, it's nice.

    Okay, I thought it was implied that it was just my opinion.

    Let me use your oh-so-insightful reasoning as to why I like them - Don't know why, most people hate them, but they've always worked for me.

    Oh hell yeah this is nice.

    Okay, when do I start hurling personal insults at strangers for wearing their football socks the "wrong" way? When can I start getting genuinely mad at people for wearing undershirts that aren't tucked in? I've seen how thick the skin gets around here, I just wanna ball with the big boys!

    Gotta have thicker skin if you’re going to be on these boards, bud.

    Lol what does that even mean?

    What’s entailed in “owning that it’s a minority opinion?” Should I have included a disclaimer?

    Sorry guys I take it back. The Lions alt is bad because.

    Back to the serious business that is grown men discussing sports uniforms. Only thick skin here!

  4. Holy hell this is bad.

    Wow.

    Even people with bad taste agree these suck.

    All they had to do is change the name. Commanders is pretty lame but even that would have been fine. Keep the uniforms, "modernize" it a bit with a new font and helmet finish (think Minnesota Vikings or Michigan football Jordan rebrand), and call it a friggin day.

    I'd pay to see someone punch Daniel Snyder.

  5. The Cowboy's green-hued pants were so so so bad.

    But now that they're more blue, I love the uniforms. All along the same palette and the mismatching gives it kind of a retro vibe. If I could change anything about the Cowboys' uniforms, it would be to remove the black outlines on the stripes. Everything else can stay.

    Edit: Actually, the pants need to change. The color isn't the problem, it's the material. The butt sweat is way too real.

    I consider these (and the Ravens’ overall set) to still be a modern classic, despite its flaws. IMO the Purple, Black, and White with Gold accents really play off of each other well and fits a team named the Ravens really well.

    Agreed 100%. I'm a huge fan of tertiary colors when used properly, and the Ravens' gold is perfect. I've always liked their number font too. The only change I would make would be to remove the 'B' from the Raven head logo. Absolutely modern classics though. I've never understood the hate.

    This is all they really need to do to complete the color balance on the road uniforms.

    Nailed it.

    Burgundy = Mountain

    Silver = Snow

    Blue = Sky

    Like Carlson said, add a silver outline around the blue numeral and they’re all set.

    I'm not going to get into why the Browns orange-brown-orange stripes are correct again because I've done that too many times. The real issue with their pants is the stripe is too thick. They need to go back to what they had in the 80's, which was a thinner stripe, similar to what the Chiefs use. Fits the old school look better and because the size differs from the helmet it doesn't need to be consistent.

    What the Pats should do

    spacer.png

    Single outlined numbers, the stripe mimics the stripe on the American flag and is consistent on every background, and you don't have that ugly red-blue-red stripe anywhere. Also replaces the useless repeating logo on the sleeves with numbers.

    This is exactly what I’ve always thought! Red stripes on a white jersey are kinda covered by the 49ers and Giants, but the blue numbers help a lot (and the Giants should change anyway).

  9. Michigan looks best on the road with the white striped pants. Not sure what the popular opinion is here, but it seems most Michigan fans prefer the maize pants. I love how the striping on the white pants matches up with the helmet stripes. It also keeps them balanced and not too maize heavy.

    I love the name Minnesota Wild. It works with the geographic name. If it was the Los Angeles Wild, or even the Minneapolis Wild, it would be some XFL-level cheese. But I see it as short for Minnesota Wildlife. I love their branding that has stayed somewhat minimalistic (I’m sure there’s a better word to use there). But the logo being an undefined wild creature, with the imagery of a nature scene...idk, I just think the name Minnesota Wild works really well.
