I kind of like the quirks of the Cowboy's use of different blues and grays.
Same, especially since they changed the pants and fixed the green hue.
Additional unpopular opinion - get rid of the shiny pants, make them flat silver-blue. I don't wanna see any more butt sweat.

Jaguars looked perfect today. Wear teal pants with the black and white jerseys as the primary home and away. Sprinkle in a couple of games in black/black, and teal/black. They don't even need additional stripes with the color balance they had today.

^ Along those same lines, for some reason I love black and white with just a smidge of a 3rd brighter color. It's why I think the black alternate is the Cardinals best jersey. (among an admittedly bad set)
Agreed! Been a while since I've played, but my last Create-A-Team on NHL was all black and white, with gold only used sparingly as an outline color on the logos and numbers.

I love when one color is used very minimally, or used on only some of the elements/equipment. I'm trying to think of whatever "rule" I have, because there are times that it doesn't work.
Examples I like:
- Gold outline on throwback Falcon helmet logo
- Tan/gold pants on Harvard's otherwise all crimson and black set
- Titans use of red
- Steelers logo
- Baltimore Ravens use of gold
- Gray facemasks
- Phillies' blue
Probably more that I can't think of right now. But an example I hate is the Lions using a white outline on their logo and WCF patch when there's no other white on the home uniform. That doesn't strike me as an intentional quirk, it strikes me as a poor oversight in design.

Denver's side panels are way wider, making it far more noticeable for them.
I am still cool with any team with a bad/mediocre set like them or Atlanta mixing and matching like this, as it brings more color into the uniform and give us something new. There are more than enough black and white pants around the league these days.
Yeah I swear people cling to these "rules" and they don't allow themselves to make exceptions. The Falcons don't have side panels. It's a thin stripe, and it looks good.

No, it's not like that at all. There is at least a half dozen things wrong with that uniform set before getting to "chrome.".
What don’t you like?

The Atlanta Falcons unis are underrated. I truly don't see why people think they're so bad. It's like, "oh there's chrome, AUTOMATICALLY BAD." The chrome is tastefully done. The font is good. The unis are basic and inoffensive, with the one design element being a nice tie-in to their logo. "ATL" works for Atlanta. It cannot be judged the same way as something like "DET" for Detroit would be, for example. Just as Phoenix can get away with "PHX" and Philadelphia can get away with "Philly," Atlanta can use "ATL." The Falcons are a perfectly-restrained modern uniform.

The Lions' (lack of) use of white is awful.
If you're gonna go strictly blue/silver, do it. Take the white out of the logo and the WCF patch. It looks so out of place and just looks like a rookie-level oversight.
But the real solution, as said earlier, is to remove that stupid darker gray, and make the numbers white with a silver outline. That would do wonders for their home set.

God forbid someone has a different opinion!

I wish they’d keep a red-white-red stripe pattern throughout the set to mimic the flag and logo. The red-blue-red always looks off to me.

Their regular blue/maize uniforms are in the conversation for best uniform. These bland, monochrome unitards are far from it. I even like the white pants with the away jersey, but these blue pants are just terrible, home and away.
Not a big fan of white over blue, but I dig the all-blue for 1 home game a year.

Michigan has the best uniforms in the country.
love that they’ve found out a good way for alternates that are just simple color swaps. Seems to be an unpopular opinion but I love the white pants with the away uniform. Not too maize-heavy, and the stripes mimic the back of the helmet nicely.

Is this site practically unusable on mobile for anyone else? I get about 1/4 of the way down the page and it just absolutely stalls out and needs to reload. Literally doesn't happen with any other website or forum for me. Any advice? Mobile pop-up blockers?n I appreciate the free access to the boards, and I know ads are necessary, but in the past few months I straight up cannot even view this forum on my phone.

Michigan wearing maize socks and accessories with their normal home uniforms. Meh.

You said the new jerseys are better than the old ones. By default, that means that the old ones were worse.
Since the new jerseys definitely and objectivley* (this board loves that word) suck, and the old ones were worse, that means that the old jerseys sucked worse than the new ones do. And that argument is exactly what @oldschoolvikingswas poking holes in.
I rest my case.
*plz don't fight me on this. You guys get all up in arms whenever some says "objectively". I'm just going off of the general opinion of this board
Yeah I mean, I don’t think they suck at all. I actually really like them. And just because I think they’re better than the old ones doesn’t mean I think the old ones suck either. So…yeah. Assumptions.

“Sure, it sucks, but it used to suck worse” is an embarrassing defense.
That’s not at all what I’m saying…interesting interpretation.

The new Falcons unis are 100000x better than the previous ones. They're simple and clean, but striking. The font is kinda whacky but I like it. It ties in with their logo and branding well.
Also, ATL doesn't bother me at all. That's a common moniker for Atlanta. It's wayyy different than the Pistons using "DET," for example.
I've always loved uniforms that display the locale and the mascot equally. The Falcons uni fully displays "Atlanta Falcons." The old one has the "Falcons" script but already has the falcon logo, so it just reads as Falcons Falcons to me.

It's also their team color that they've been known for and is literally in their nickname. This decision is simply not acceptable from a branding standpoint. And not to mention, at least one of those three games will be all-green.
Uhhh what

I hardly ever really notice the players' undershirts. Doesn't really bother me in most cases.

You know, in outdoor lighting these are actually not bad. Not perfect, but far from bad. I know they're not traditional but Washington had to move to the polar opposite when making this change.
They really didn’t have to go to the polar opposite. Literally all they had to do was change the name and logo. Should’ve been the Redtails but Commanders is fine. Just change the name and logos, like the Guardians did.

The helmet and jersey look like they come from two separate identities. The lack of gold on the jersey/black on the helmet make the uniform elements feel very disconnected. They should've used gold instead of black for the white jersey, or used black across all of the uniforms and helmets for a cohesive look.
I don't support a full burgundy/black uniform set, but it would've made for a consistent color scheme and incorporate black (which Washington wants to force into their uniforms for some reason)
It’s truly mind-boggling. Such a simple aspect of design…who makes these decisions? How do you just randomly throw black trim on the white jersey when it’s found nowhere else in the main sets? Like……….what?

Louisville has had complete garbage uniforms for so long I can't even remember the last time they wore something even semi-respectable. Probably that Bridgewater uniform, but even that needed some serious editing.
They're just one of those stuck in the second tier schools that tries so hard to get noticed, they fall for every gimmicky okey-doke that come down the pike. Embarrassing. There's a lot of schools like this, that looked at what Oregon was doing, didn't actually understand what it was that was working for the Ducks, and took all the wrong lessons from it.
Simplify.
Please.
Totally agreed. They've always just looked so cheap and unattractive.

Absolutely. Very underrated uniforms.
But...I think I still prefer the Throwbacks.
