What is the incentive to win your division?

What about this radical playoff format idea? Have all 4 WC games on Tuesday, start the LDS on Thursday, 1 league takes off Friday as they did a day this year

I'm not gonna whine about the playoff format, but unless ATL rallies the optics aren't exactly going to please some and the pitchforks from many will be out. Like, I fear we may be reaching a point where you're almost better off being a WC. My idea is a simple one- reseed. Like why should the lowest seed not play the highest seed? Imagine if that happened in the NFL.

As for the ALCS.... HOU in 4 The Rangers are basically last year's Yankees minus pinstripes

the NHL’s current format no longer makes it possible for the 2 best teams in a division AND conference to play in round 3 imagine that 1994 Devils/Rangers 7 game classic if it was in round 2 instead of for the SCF It almost feels like it makes rounds 1-2 more must see than the conference finals

I just think highest seed vs lowest seed feels more fair ala the NFL or the NHL in the 2000s the 2012 LA Kings beat 3 division winners en route to the Cup. Without reseeding, they face 4 seed Nashville in round 2 instead of the super gauntlet

Why doesn't MLB reseed? Like, shouldn't it be Dodgers/Phillies and Braves/DBacks?
