  1. More regarding a Nashville Sounds rebrand, specifically the mascot: https://www.nashvillepost.com/blogs/postsports/2014/10/7/sounds_rebranding_may_have_ozzie_fans_crying_fowl
  2. You tease... Oh! I forgot to mention the giveaway item they had for Wednesday's final game at Greer: A plastic cup that changes color to blue when it gets cold. Loving the cryptic clues, Sounds!
  3. I attended my final game at Nashville's Greer Stadium on Saturday and noticed a few things that may hint at a possible Sounds rebrand for 2015. First, the Sounds' Pro Shop was extremely bare, and the bulk of the items available were on discount. While this is not unusual this late in a Minor League season, they only had these two options available for fitted caps: They were both originally priced at $25, but they were both on sale for $12. And based on how full/overflowing their few hat racks were with these caps, they were trying to get rid of their entire stock instead of moving them to their new ballpark. Speaking of First Tennessee Park, they had three "try out" seats for the new park outside of their Pro Shop to show how some of them will be padded and such. They were all blue and had the current Sounds logo on the side, but the logos were printed on easily replaceable stickers. Plus, all of the materials -- printed or otherwise -- I've seen for 2015 season tickets at FTP have utilized blue as the primary color. First Tennessee Bank uses red, white, and blue, but the Sounds also did for the first 20 years of their existence. tl;dr - Don't be surprised if the Nashville Sounds throw it back a bit for the new stadium.
  4. theres a picture on there facebook page. but its basically the squirrel logo on a black hat, green brim. but it also looks like theres an all black and all green. as well as '47 brand hats in the same shades. Courtesy of @minorleaguegeek:
  5. Everything's sublimated. Nothing's sewn on. Wow, that's cheap.Cheaper than sewn, yes. But from my (little) experience working in MiLB, the players prefer that material and style of jersey overall.
  6. Anyone know the font used for "Southern League of Professional Baseball" in this logo? (From the mothership)
  7. Anybody know the font used for "JACKSON" at the top of this logo? Also, if anyone knows of a decent Tuscan font like "GENERALS" above, that would be awesome. I specifically need numbers in that style.
  8. Thanks, Greg. At first I couldn't find it, but then I looked elsewhere and found it. Now, if only I can get it work...
  9. Could someone tell me where I could get a (preferably free) font similar to the 'M' in the old Memphis HounDogs logos? For reference: It's also similar to the old Mountain Dew font. Thanks in advance!
  10. Use the 'Trace Bitmap' command under the 'Path' menu. It's not very accurate unless it's extremely hi-res.
  11. If no one knows the Moose Concept font, does anybody know this one?
  12. While I'm not 100% sure, Letterhead Font's Sugargirl looks close: Sugargirl Close, but no cigar. Just look at the M's, E's, and J's in the concept. But thanks, Puck! Anyone else?
  13. Does anybody know what font was used for this Moose concept? Concept
  14. Well, some people sketch a logo, scan it, then re-create it on the computer. Some people are talented enough to do the whole thing from scratch on Illustrator or another program (I use Inkscape). I would not, however, condone taking another logo an just 'altering' or re-coloring it. If you do decide to do so, proceed with caution. If your concept is another person's logo, just tweaked, be sure to give them their dues. It would also be smart to ask their permission before doing so.
  15. I'm needing some help in Inkscape. How do you make the text different shapes, such as in an arc? Or, does anybody know of some good Inkscape online tutorials?
  16. Does anyone have a good raster soccer template? The one on the Template page looks like a goalie's jersey.
