  1. Most people I talk to don't even remember this league.
  2. Based on your 5-paragraph rant on them, you could have fooled me.
  3. I'm not sure why they feel driven to acquire as many teams as possible, but it wouldn't surprise me if they made an offer to every team in MiLB.
  4. It's funny you mention this because I know a couple of higher-ups at Del's. According to what I was told, Del's reached out to the team a few times to express interest in sponsorship but never received a response.
  5. Are you the same guy I see all over social media who always says "ugh not another red and blue team"?
  6. Exactly. If you question if "Athletics" sounds like a baseball team name, it's like asking if the Yankees wear pinstripes. And, yes, "Ballers" does sound like the name of a basketball team. Google "Ballers" or "Ballerz" and you're going to get an abundance of basketball-related results.
  7. Yes, it does, given that the franchise has been using the name since 1901.
  8. It sounds like a name for a basketball team. Right? This appears to be more of a publicity stunt than a serious attempt to start a baseball club.
  9. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't CFC turn down an opportunity to join USL years ago?
  10. I'm not saying he's a bad person, but I had a negative experience with him earlier this year. My friends and I run an amateur football team, and we discussed having Dan design a logo for us. Because one of my friends is well-off, the cost would not have been an issue. Anyway, I emailed Dan about our team and asked if he could design a logo for us. He responded a week later, saying that while he has worked with amateur and semi-pro teams, we couldn't afford him. I'm not going to lie, that surprised me. The price and budget were never discussed, and the guy assumed we couldn't afford his services. I emailed him back and asked why he thought we couldn't afford him, but he never responded. We ended up hiring another designer, Skye Dillon, who was extremely gracious and kind throughout the entire process. Yes, it's unfortunate that my experience with Dan was anything but positive, but that's life.
  11. Although I am not a fan of Dan Simon, there is no denying his studio produces excellent work. Brandiose's work is simply too goofy for my tastes.
  12. If this is going to be Marshall's team, Kelly green had better be one of its colors.
  13. Except for the old-school New Jersey Devils, are there any teams out there using green and red?
  14. The Cape Cod League must not be overlooked. For as long as I can remember, they have always been ranked first or second in the country.
  15. I hate it when schools, especially D1 schools, go cheap like this. This logo probably cost them almost next to nothing. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
  16. I've always wondered what the Hornets' logo would look like if they relocated to Delaware and swapped out teal and purple for red and Columbia blue. Now I know
  17. The Coast Guard Bears (NCAA DIII) unveiled a new look today. https://express.adobe.com/page/TAUTE3npyRwpF/ https://coastguardathletics.com/
  18. Danbury Titans (FPHL) Upper Valley Nighthawks (NECBL) Kane County Cougars (American Association of Professional Baseball) Wausau Woodchucks (Northwoods League) Lynchburg Hillcats (MiLB) Savannah Ghost Pirates (ECHL) Lexington SC (USL 1) Dallas Stars (NHL) Worcester Bravehearts (FCBL) Wilmington College (NCAA DIII) Orlando Guardians (XFL) Roswell Invaders (Pecos League)
  19. Let's face it, the new owners knew they wanted to rebrand when they bought the team. To make matters worse, they solicit fan feedback to give the impression that they care about what the fans think and want.
  20. San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL and Williamsport Outlaws of the FHL (FPHL).
