probably going to be something similar to the rangers new alt, but i would prefer if the gradient went from teal to white down the sleeves (from the elbow) rather than the normal striping split up into more lines

edit: or like this, great concept @Puckguy14

That makes up for all the hem stripes we lost in 2007. 🫡

5280 is the number of feet in a mile.

Mile High.  As in how high you'd have to be to think it was a good idea to put "5280" down the side of your team's pants.

The Pittsburgh Penguins won back to back Stanley Cups in '91 & '92, then changed their uniforms for the '93 season. They came close to completing the three-peat, finishing 1st overall in the regular season, but got upset in the playoffs. It could have been an even rarer instance of back to back championships with different logos/uniforms.

The Pens also won the Cup in 2016 wearing Vegas gold and then switched to athletic gold and won it again in 2017.

They need to switch up the helmet, Make the helmet stripe match the pants. Not sure how to fix the helmet logo, I don't think all white would work.

Leave the logo and stripe as is, make the helmet white. Grey, blue or white facemask. Fixed.

The black socks come as no surprise, Jacobs loves the claim that the Bruins are the first professional team to use black as a primary color, even though I'm not buying that whatsoever.

Chicago was wearing black jerseys in 1928.  Boston didn't have a black jersey until 1948.

These new Cardinals uniforms just stink, they're both boring and ugly at the same time. I don't miss the piping at all, but what a missed opportunity to not create something that's good.

They'd be so much better if they just swapped out the red pants for white.  Still not good, but better than this.

Wow, the players get to keep the company-issued article of clothing they bled and sweated in? Wow, cool! Maybe they'll get a pizza party, too!

On Friday they can wear jeans to practice.  And no tie!

Well, I was today years old when I learned the Seattle Metropolitans name (or logo or both) isn’t owned by the NHL. Does anyone have the history on that?

According to Wikipedia the NHL does own the Metropolitans trademark in Canada, but not the US.

"Seattle's later hockey teams have paid tribute to the Metropolitans. The NHL owns the rights to the Metropolitans' trademarks in Canada. Paul Kim, an entrepreneur in Lynnwood, Washington, acquired the trademarks in the U.S. in 2016, after the prior owner abandoned them.[10] Kim had intended to license the trademarks to a future NHL franchise in Seattle."

I know the Bills potentially doing a 90s throwback been talked about but haven't seen anything since I was away last week, but while at the Bills team store last week I did see this

    Image

They've always had those red helmets for sale.  Unfortunately that doesn't mean they're doing a throwback helmet this year.

Odds are if the Bills bring this back it'll probably be worn with the all red uniform

I'm really hoping for a 90s-era throwback, but I'm sure you're probably right. It'll be worn with the color rush abomination instead.

  11. A couple of Bills players have been tweeting out pictures of a red Bills helmet with eyeball emojis. Looks like it's part of a Labatt campaign, but there was a rumor last year that they would be bringing back red helmets as an alt this year.

He just updated with another post showing the opposing teams uniforms and it includes red helmets for the Bills...

I know the Bills  red helmets were rumored to be coming this year, but I've never seen that confirmed at all, let alone any kind of a schedule.  And if they do wear them, why would they do it on the road?
