I miss John Madden in the booth. I bust out Madden 05 when I'm feeling nostalgic.

    RIP to them both

Dick Enberg "OH MY" another great announcer along with Vin Scully, the latter passing since the last post of this thread (along with Madden). I learned of Vin's passing when I was on my Caribbean vacation

    Thanks!

Haha! Well, given the premise of this series, I'll take it.

Thanks for the feedback! Here are the Green Monsters with your suggested tweaks:

I feel like my original version has more personality, but to each his own.

Next up are the Chicago Southpaws!

    Notes:

    - Ask any South Sider what Southpaw is supposed to be, and I doubt you'll get a convincing answer. He appears to be a furry dragon of some kind, but don't ask me why he's the mascot of a team called the "White Sox."

    - I leaned into Southpaw's green color for this one, which would give the Southside Irish a color scheme they'd love rooting for.

    - The White Sox have historically only seldomly worn their full team name on their jerseys, so I maintained that tradition here, shortening the name to "Paws" on the home and road alt.

    - Since "Southpaw" also is a term for a lefthander, I repurposed the Sox' batterman logo into a lefthanded pitcher.

C&C appreciated! Only a few teams left.

Looks also like a dinosaur to me

So that means St. Francis (NY) pulled a Lincoln Christian (a former NAIA/NCCAA school), meaning that they just dropped/discontinued its entire athletics program, but is keeping the school alive; which would mean that St. Francis would still remain active (hence the campus moving and expansion). Recently Trinity International (an NAIA school) did it similarly too.

Speaking of local schools closing/in danger of closing, I figured this will be in your wheelhouse since these schools are not D1.

Bloomfield College will merge with Montclair State, and New Jersey City University (NJCU) & William Paterson have been aggressive in balancing their budget so they cut down their funding. Sad to see these colleges struggle particularly NJCU since it is in my city and I had family who graduated from there

And what a game it was!

I've actually been able to catch a good many of these games due to being snowed in...caught that one from top to bottom. The fact that Arkansas pulled off that comeback with dang near half their players either in foul trouble or completely fouled out (Kansas was in the bonus with about 10:00 to go in the game) was huge for them. Not that I have anything against the Jayhawks, but as a current enrollee and future Sooie Pig alumnus, naturally I have  a vested interest in all things Hogs these days, so...WOO PIG SOOIE!!!

(Now of course the question is can they finally break through the glass ceiling at the Sweet 16?)

    Congrats to your Razorbacks! 👏

And you never know, we knew there was no clear cut fave as @Sykotyk said so Arkansas may very well make a run to Houston.

And speaking of the Cougars, they are trailing big against Auburn as I type this. So another #1 could go down tonight. This has got to be the craziest NCAA tournament ever. EDIT: Houston came back.

What a nightcap. FAU/Memphis and TCU/ASU were both fantastic.

Poor FAU, they are gonna be the unexpected villains on Sunday. The nation will be cheering for FDU outside the 561 area code and some salty Purdue fans lol.

16 over 1 used to feel like the impossible journey. Now it feels like the seeding barely means anything anymore.

Purdue has the worst luck against NJ schools lately lol.

First St. Peter's now Fairleigh Dickinson. Wow.
