DETROIT ATHLETIC CLUB

The newest team to the league, introduced in 2024, has been one of the most successful first year clubs in MLS history. Founded in 2022, (didn't start play until 2024) Detroit Athletic was purchased by Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers owner, Olympia Entertainment. The new owners promised a successful season and a star player. They delivered both. The first signing in Detroit AC history was the Spanish striker Diego Costa. DAC eventually captured full-back Brek Shea and attacking-mid Cristian Maidana in the Expansion Draft. Detroit was on their way to success. During the season, they were the 1st placed team in the Eastern Conference for a combined 18 weeks. They became the 2nd seed in the conference and became the first expansion team to make the playoffs in their first year, and then they added on to this incredible feat by making it all the way to the MLS Cup. However, despite their miracle run, they were defeated 3-1 by the LA Galaxy. They have high hopes for next year after signing a star goalkeeper in US national William Yarbrough.

I like the idea behind the Fire crest, but they won the MLS Cup in their inaugural season. They won the double that year by also winning the Open Cup.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

*Patiently waiting waiting for NYCFC...while simultaneously hoping the Red Bulls converted back to Metrostars, that a New Metrostars formed to add to the rivalry, or that Orlando City becomes defunct...(I kinda dont like OCSC lol)* But in all seriousness very well done I cant wait to see what happens down the line... (ex. The amount times LA Galaxy won, if RBNY [Red Bulls] still haven't won the MLS Cup, if NYCFC won the MLS Cup, if Beckham succeeded in bringing MLS back to Miami and how they are doing. You know the fun stuff) Also for teams who have won the MLS Cup 10 times I feel they should get a gold star, 15, A Gold one plus a Silver, 20, Two golds and so on and so forth.

FC DALLAS

FC Dallas is the most historic team in the Lone Star State, being founded in 1996 as the Dallas Burn, they've gone on to win the MLS Cup (at last) in 2019, and win the conference in 2010. They've also won the Lamar Hunt Open Cup twice (1997 and 2021). FC Dallas have been fairly successful over the years, but have had a few up and down seasons. In order to cement the club into MLS greatness, owner Clark Hunt, son of Lamar Hunt, decided to re-brand the team in 2018, and hire a new coach, Taylor Twellman, and make a splash in free agency. They signed the aging yet, still dominant Argentine striker, Carlos Tevez in 2022. FC Dallas won the Cup in Tevez's first season, and made the Western Conference Final the following two years. Tevez is in his last season for FCD at age 39. FC Dallas has the best attack in the MLS featuring Tevez, Fabian Castillo, Mauro Diaz, and Brazilian maestro, Marcos Junior. They expect to be back in the playoff hunt this upcoming season, and they currently hold the Texas Derby under their belt for the last 5 seasons.
