The jagged lining on the tails of the J and G are throwing me off, same with the stroke on the top left and right. Out of interest, why the acorn theme? Although I do have the birthdate on for a reason, I can take it off. It's not really meant to be a permanent feature of the logo. But what's throwing you off about the tails and strokes?
