whats a burgolder?

Someone who wears the BURgundy and GOLD colors of the University of Milwaukee.

My old high school was known as the Purgolders because we wore PURple and GOLD. I originally wanted to use that name for them, but I just couldn't send my guys out there in some pansy arse purple. And I doubt that a university in Milwaukee would choose a name so closely related to one of the high schools.

I would have stuck with the metallic gold myself. Burgundy and yellow-gold is too derivative of the Yellow Rodents -- sorry, Golden Gophers.

By the way: Where does Milwaukee play now that County Stadium is no more? Do they share a stadium with the Golden Avalanche?

I don't think the cage type facemasks came about until the mid to late 60s. I believe the 2 bar and single bar were in vogue between mid-50s - mid-60s if you are going for realism there. Great idea overall.
