_RH_
I've always felt like the Pittsburgh Steelers have a helmet finish somewhere between glossy and satin, but I'm not sure I've seen it discussed. Today's matchup with Baltimore seems to show Pittsburgh's domes aren't quite as glossy: Forgive me if this has been discussed, but what's the history? Looking at old photos I'm not sure I can tell the difference, or if / when this changed. Am I crazy?
dont care
The Steelers do not paint their helmets, they just use the black molding and then don’t polish and refurbish them throughout the season like other teams to look more rugged unless a helmet is in need of repair. The helmets will look more glossy at the beginning of the year then get more scuffed up and appear almost matte towards the end of the year.
