pcgd Posted October 6, 2004 Share Posted October 6, 2004 So, I got lucky enough and my boss let me go to the game today. My first playoff game or pretty much any sporting event other than regular season. (Sugar Bowl with Illinois and this is it!) And it was awesome! St. Louis won as you all know. Awesome feeling there though. Total energy. 51,000 people there on a tuesday at noon with one day to get work off! Pretty impressive. The whole city was hopping like I had never seen before (although that's not hard) and we had the rally towels out in full force! (lame gimmick but it still looked cool to see 40,000 of those things going at once!) Also, curtain calls for every St. Louis home run. Awesome day! A win vs. the Braves in '96, and a loss vs. the Giants in '02. I've also been to other sports, but just talking Cards for now.Though, I'm glad to hear you had better luck today than in that Sugar Bowl.
