... the West Virginia Power.

The Single-A South Atlantic League affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers adopted the new identity to coincide with the opening of a new ballpark, as well as to expand the team's appeal to areas outside the City of Charleston and Kanawha County.

The new identity reflects the State of West Virginia's tradition as an energy producer and the City of Charleston's political and economic strength as the state capital.

The new team colors of Moss, Gold, Yellow and Cream are meant to reflect hues found in the "great outdoors" of West Virginia. Moss is a custom color used by no other minor-league baseball team.

Team uniforms are still in development. However, club officials have revealed that home caps will be Moss Green and road caps will be Gold. Batting practice jerseys and caps will be Black.

The new identity package is being developed for the team by San Diego's Plan B Branding.

Well, if you weren't impressed with the new name, logos or color palette... you're probably not going to be blown away by the rumored uniforms, either.

The Charleston Daily News is reporting that the team's home uniforms will likely be White with one Moss sleeve, while the road uniforms could be Gray with one Black Sleeve. Both uniforms would be accented with Moss, Gold, Yellow and Cream detailing.

"I better go take a long walk off a short pier or something."
