General Design Contests?

If someone were to be interested in starting a general design contest, would they need to go through the same process as sports design contests, or can they be run separately?

Go nuts with the general design contests -- if they get out of hand then we will have to deal with them in some manner.

cool, aussie has a contest coming soon then! perhaps the GD Bootcamp would have been more suited fro General Design......
