appleclock
hereThe Gliebermans have bought their way back into the CFL, now owning a chunk of the Ottawa Renegades. They were famous for bailing the Ottawa Rough Riders out of bankruptcy in the early 90s, driving the team further into the ground, and then dumping the team in favor of US expansion into Shreveport which lasted for 2 years. The Rough Riders also died shortly afterwards.Clearly they won't be making the same mistakes TWICE right? Let's hope not.

They've already made the same mistakes twice-(Shreveport Pirates)-let's hope it's not thrice--still I am reminded of the funeral march-Dumb dumb dumbdumb-dumb dumb dumb dumbdumb dumb dumb... Mac the Knife
As long as they have just a minority interest, there's a limit to how much damage they can do.This doesn't bode well for the Renegades though, as it (at least to me) spells out that the team is on shaky financial footing - not good for the CFL with a franchise its been touting as a model of sorts.
