slats7
Baseball teams are not allowed to wear white tops OR white pants on the road (even with a dark jersey), right?
BBTV
If my memory serves me, the late 80s Cubs wore white pants on the road......with blue tops. slats7
That's what I remember too, but haven't seen the look for quite some time. Rule change?
VitaminD
I believe the Cubs petitioned the National League to wear the white pants with the blue road pullovers, and were given permission. If this is true, then it would still be possible for a team to do it again, if their league gave them permission. A bad idea, but not illegal with Bud's blessing. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
