NYMets920
Are we talking history-of-team, or single season? Single season was the '62 Mets and it will be the '03 Tigers, but I have no clue for the all time one.

NJTank
1899 Cleveland Spiders lost 134 Games www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Cianfrocco
Of course there should be an asterisk next to that record. A couple years before the Spiders were actually good, with guys like Cy Young on the team. But their owner had two teams in the league and decided to "trade" all the good players from Cleveland to his other team. Thus, they were left with pretty much a minor league team playing in the majors. Imagine if the Expos traded Guerrero, Vazquez, and Vidro for a bunch of AAA guys.
