oz615 Posted November 14, 2005 Share Posted November 14, 2005 a charter plane carring 37 players, 8 coaches, 5 crew members and 25 other supporters (fans or administrative personnel) from Marshall University struck the treetops of the Appalachian,flipped over and burst into flames killing 75 passengers.This is the worst plane crash ever involving an American sports team.BTW in case you're wondering,the players circled survived because they eithermissed the plane due to injuries or other family obligations.
